This is one heavy duty, well made hammer. I like that the handle makes it easy to grip and you can drive nails with force because of the weight of the hammer. The magnetic nail starter is a huge plus. Just what I needed...
The lightweight handle with the very comfortable and secure rubber grip give you good control over the well balanced head. There are special features to the head from the slight angle for a more controlled strike to the very appreciated magnetic nail starter. This is an impressive tool that you feel confident will deliver long service life, and a great value for the money.
Was looking for a good sturdy hammer for my boyfriend and was very pleased with with I got. It has a good strong handle and the magnetic nail set is a cool feature. Overall, its a great hammer for the price.
This is one of the best hammers I have ever owned. It has weight to it that makes stability great. It’s easy to use and very sturdy. It was a rubber like covering on the handle that makes it easy to grip. I overly love this hammer. If you are a diy person then you definitely need this one. I encourage everyone to get one.
The goo balance makes the hammer a good tool to use
6 years working in construction, 5 years as a carpenter. I wanted to try hart's new hand tools. I bought this as well as the solid steel 20oz hammer. I've been using them day to day to decide which one I like the best. I've never cared for fiberglass hammers but I preferred this over the two. It's really well balanced, hits solid, lighter weight, and the part I like the best is there is almost no vibration. I like the short profile of the hammer head for swinging in tight spots and the shape of the claws, although I wish they came sharper. The grip on the handle is very good, and for some reason the handle on this is a little thicker than the solid steel version so it fits more comfortably in my hand. I like that they stayed true to their original hammer shape; I would've chosen to buy a straight handle version if they had made it but that is just my preference. It performs just as well as any of my other go-to hammers and was about half the price, so I definitely recommend.
a very balanced hammer with easy to hold handle.
Needed a decent hammer for some home-remodeling work. I ordered this one and it arrived the next day. I got this thing in my hands and was blown away with the quality. It was heavy duty but light-weight. Superior absorption of impact and vibration helps protect your hands from injury due to lengthy hammering sessions
I would never try or even believe a true one handed hammer, but this is as close as you can get. With the magnet and the indentation in the head, I was able to to start a nail on the first try. Aside from that feature, the hammer has a nice grip and is not too heavy. The claws allow for easy removal of a nail the bends or goes in sideways. This would be a good hammer for roofers where nails constantly falling is a problem.
My granddaughter is forever borrowing my hammer for decorating her room! She LOVES posters, pictures, plaques, lights, small shelves, and an assortment of colorful things on her walls! Most of the time, I have to hunt for my hammer since it usually doesn't get returned! That's why I thought having a second hammer would be a great idea! She got right on her wall with hanging up a calendar and found the magnetic nail starter feature totally cool! This hammer is 20oz which is a bit heavy for me, (mine is only 16oz and I can feel the difference) but it was just fine for her! Thanks!
