After launching more than successful fragrance for women, The One, Dolce&Gabbana house will, at the beginning of March 2008, launch a fragrance for men named The One for Men. Creating this fragrance, Stefano Gabbana was following the idea of creating an uomo, a very masculine fragrance, and a very classic one, "not a banal classic, but a classic men's fragrance that would last for years and be the type of scent that women adore". The notes of this fragrance are composed in accordance with the Gabbana creator's taste, who wanted to create a woody-oriental composition. In line with that Gabbana said: '"I like spicy-oriental notes and we've never done these types of fragrances, it's a little warmer than our other men's scents". Fragrance The One for Men opens with sparkling notes of bergamot, coriander and basil, the middle motes bring in cardamom, ginger and neroli, while the base notes create a very masculine trace of cedar, ambergris and tobacco. The fragrance is created in cooperation with P&G Prestige Product and International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF). It comes in a glass made bottle that matches the shape of The One for Women bottle, only with silver-metal neck and chocolate-brown rectangular top. The model of the fragrance advertising campaign will be the actor Matthew McConaughey, who will next week join the designers in the NYC. When it comes to the choice of the model, the Dolce&Gabbana designers said that they wanted to have the sexiest man on the planet. And with regards to that, Gabbana adds that this is the first time that a model in one of D&G men's fragrance campaigns appears in clothes. The One for Men will be available in the US as EDT in two sizes – 50ml and 100ml bottles. Besides EDT the collection will include 100ml aftershave lotion, 75ml aftershave balm, 200ml shower gel and 75ml deodorant stick.

After trying Dolce&Gabbana The One for Men, I definitely can say this fragrance is beautiful, elegant and classy. Ideal for fall and winter or for night time. The notes are warm, soft and seamlessly blended. On my skin, the strong notes are vanilla and fresh mandarin with a hint of spice throughout...with cedar and tobacco coming through during dry-down. I work with upper class men. And I want to smell good to. So this is now my go to Cologne. I have got so many complements I went out for dinner later that day and I could still smell it and other could to. It is not over powering either. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Smells really good and great price!
The scent is very strong. I can definitely feel the spice in the scent. I would wear this for a special occasion so the scent would stand out if I'm there for a while, or among a lot of people. I don't typically like strong scents but I found this one to be pleasing. I would recommend it for people who like stronger scents. I will pick this up at the store for variety but it would not be a regular for me. Even though this cologne does smell great, I prefer lighter scents. Before I got this product I was wondering if it would smell similar to other Dolce and Gabbana I have tried. I like the smell well enough. Not my favorite but it was pleasant. It however only lasted for an hour before I couldn't smell it. Nobody even noticed it. The smell is fine, it could have stayed longer though. The order does not come and the guy for gift express is just a scammer. The order just stays on the status of label created and does not come to your house.
When I first sprayed it, you can barkey smell it. The longevity of it last 5 minutes and it's gone. Until now, I never known about a legit checker website for fragrances. Check yours. It'll tell you if it's real of fake. I bought this last year and just now noticed it because I barley use it because I felt it was too soft of a smell, compared to what I remembered spraying it at Macy's.
