We love it already cooked 6 pizzas in less than a week wife definitely loved her birthday present 🎁
What a great pizza oven this is. It. Ones complete with the 22 inch blackstone grill and oven. Easy to put together in about 15 min. The first time we tried it my husband only put a small propane tank on it and we could not get it up to the 700 degree recommended temp, so the next time he hooked it to a regular size propane tank and it had no problem. It cooked the pizza in about 5 minutes and tasted like it came from a pizzeria. It also has the pizza stone with it. Will be eating more home made pizza now.
Recently acquired this unit, I haven't set mine up yet due to it being winter but I can definitely review this because my brother has one, actually the unit my brother has was an addition part for the 22-in griddle which is pretty much exactly what this is minus the griddle top. He uses two burners for even distribution of heat and the stone is what does it, this makes amazing pizza. With my brother we have made our own pizzas from scratch with dough and tossing them and all that and they come out really good, but because I'm lazy and because there is a local pizza maker in our area that sells delicious local homemade pizzas at our local Walmart stores, that's what I buy and we throw them in this pizza oven and they come out just unbelievably good. Just perfect amount of scorched crust to give at crispy delicious texture and the cheese is just slightly crispy and bubbly all, best pizza you can make at home. Definitely worth the extra effort involved in setting up. We use the 1 lb propane tanks and they last long enough that you really don't have to worry about them and they're cheap inconvenient. I guess there is a way you can hook this up to a 20 lb tank but we just don't bother. I love this pizza oven and recommend it to everyone
I absolutely love this great pizza oven by Blackstone. It is portable. It fits 15” inch pizzas. It has a heat retaining front door. I have cooked a few pizzas in this and I’m very impressed with it! It cooks the pizzas so good and it’s easy to use! I love it! It reaches temps up to 750 degrees. It’s so easy to cook pizzas on. I highly recommend this pizza Oven!!! It’s great! Would make a great gift!
I’ve been looking to get an outdoor pizza oven that we can cook out with and also take in camping trips. When I saw this one I knew that we had to have it! I didn’t realize how big this was till it arrived! This thing is huge so if you’re going to have one you will need a table to put it on. We use our old glass top square outdoor table and believe me when I tell you that it barely fits ! That said I thought we only needed the propane tank but we also discovered in order to position it the way we wanted (and not buy just a small tiny propane tank for one to a few uses) we needed to buy a hose made to hook between the big tank and the oven hookup. The price to buy a hose was minimal and once purchased we were ready to fire it up! There are 2 pizza stones. The big rectangular one fits on the top and the big round one goes on the bottom! It will hold up to a huge 15 inch pizza, which is about the size of an Xtra Large pizza from your local delivery pizza place. The only other thing that was NOT included, which to be honest I wish this package did include, is a pizza peel. Thankfully we have both a huge wooden one and a metal one so we were ready to start cooking. A pizza peel is the flat metal or wooden item with a long handle used for putting the pizza into and taking it out of the pizza oven itself. Being Italian, I made the pizza dough from scratch and added my homemade sauce, freshly grated mozzarella cheese, fresh Parmesan cheese and some sliced pepperoni. We made 2 pies, one was a backup in case we needed it and I am glad we did that because there is a bit of a learning curve! One tip is to use your pizza peel to turn it a 1/4 turn every 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. The first pizza we only turned once and left in a bit too long. Ideal temperature we discovered hovers around 380-400 degrees. The first pizza was, let’s say a bit “toasty”. The second oie after discovering our mistakes came out perfect. My husband and tge kids as well as myself now argue over whose going to be in charge of this pizza oven. I believe it’s true that tge family who makes pizza together stays together and we look forward to many evenings outdoors bonding over a homemade pizza. If you’re in the market for a pizza oven this one is big, and as long as you use my tips you too can be a great pizza chef. This makes a great gift for any pizza lover!
I've shopped around for a pizza oven for about a year and looked at high end models and considered both gas and wood burning. I've had a griddle for about a year and love it so I figured I'd give this oven a try. It is at a great price point and easy assembly. We made our own dough and experimented with different temps and had immediate success! Heats up to 650° quickly and the stones make it so easy! I've included a few pics of our first pies and I know it will get better over time. I love that we can throw it in the back of the truck and take it to the lake but can leave it setup on the deck for those moments when we just want pizza. We want to give store bought pizzas also for those times when we want that extra flavor but short on time. I highly recommend this pizza oven to anyone looking for a good quality gas oven at a reasonable price.
Who needs to go out when you can have delicious restaurant style pizza at home! Our new Blackstone Pizza Oven has been a delicious addition to out family kitchen. Right out of the box I was already impressed. The assembly was so easy that all I had to do was screw in a few handles, place the stones inside and slide the pizza oven right on top of the burner and 'Bam' we're ready to start cooking it up. Now, don't get discouraged if at first you burn your pizza, it comes out doughy or you can't seem to get it at the right temperature. There is definitely a learning curve to getting that beautiful restaurant style brick oven pizza. But the process is so worth it. We watched a few videos and had a few fails but in the end we had those babies coming out looking and tasting delicious. We love that the size of this is perfect to set up in our outdoor kitchen and also to take along with us when we go trailer camping. The one thing that we've been struggling with is getting the burners to light after sparking it. We're doing it exactly as the directions say but haven't had success. We've learned not to light it with a lighter while the pizza oven is sitting on top of the burner but to take it off, light it and then place it back on. A few things that we bought to make things easier are a big sturdy pizza peel and the propane adaptor to use the large tank instead of the little bottles. I would also definitely like to have a bag to store it in and a griddle to switch the pizza oven out and use with the cooking range. Overall, this is a great Blackstone product and we've enjoyed learning and how it's brought some family fun to our everyday routine.
This Blackstone pizza oven is portable as it attaches to the small camping propane tanks. However, I purchased the Blackstone propane adapter hose so that I can use a regular 20 pound propane tank. The oven was simple to put together, it only took 20 minutes tops. It's a little heavy for me, and when you go to move the oven, you need to make sure to remember that the oven BASE is not attached permanently to the oven body; the body lifts right off. So included is a square stone that goes on the inside top of the oven and a circle stone that rotates on the bottom that the pizza sits on. It's very easy to use. You first have to preheat the oven to 700 degrees F (HOT) and the pizza only takes 2-4 minutes to cook depending on dough thickness. It's pretty awesome. The pizza turns out amazing - just like a wood fired pizzeria. One problem that I ran into is that this does NOT come with a pizza spatula. I went to 5 different stores to find one, nobody had one. I had to order one online and wait for it to come in the mail in order to use this oven - so be sure to order a spatula when you buy this grill! Besides that, I highly recommend.
Takes inexpensive pizza to the next level. I put in a take-n-bake and after only 10 minutes at about 425° it was ready. I was able to leave the pizza on the cardboard it came on with no problem. The crust was just the perfect amount of crunch we like. It was super easy to assemble, I just wish it had some place to put in wood chips. It took about 10 minutes to get to the 425°, I can't imagine how long it's maximum temperature takes, don't think I will ever go that high.
This portable pizza oven fits a 22" tabletop and uses propane to heat up. Now if you don't have the brand tabletop it is supposed to be portable- well let me tell you- this oven is heavy, not very portable in my opinion. As for cooking pizza, it works really good- best temperature is around 550°, comes out nice and crisp.
