This was a fantastic base for additional vegetables, starches, like pasta or potatoes, and various meats. The sauce was amazingly rich. I will purchase again.
Great flavor. I wanted this for meal prepping and help increasing my protein. I added 1 can of mushrooms, 4 cups of diced TURKEY, a can of cream of mushroom SOUP, a splash of almond milk and a splash of white wine. 😋 YUMMY! This was the high protein meal base that I was looking for. Each meal have 44 g of protein.....low fat and low carb.
Buying more. Rich aroma while cooking and great taste!
I really really wanted to like this but I just can't. The sauce was a runny liquidly mess. The mushrooms were cut into random odd pieces and very limp once cooked Lastly, it tasted like it may have been mildly freezer burnt or something, and it barely had any garlic or wine flavor. For the price and knowing Bird's Eye can make some great stuff, I was surprised this wasn't better. Maybe it was this particular batch...but I don't think I'll give it a 2nd try.
Tastes like canned mushrooms heated up, couldn't taste any seasoning or flavor from the sauce. Would not buy again.
I love eating/sautéing mushrooms. I saw these and figured they could be better and quicker side dish. I couldn't taste a pinch of seasoning, and the mushrooms broke down into a mess and were chewy. It's best not to take shortcuts and just make it yourself.
These were a slimy, chewy, watery, flavorless mess. Not only was there no wine or garlic flavor, these were somehow devoid of even mushroom flavor. I'm so disappointed. Just get some sliced white mushrooms, throw them in a pan with oil/butter and a little salt and pepper. I promise you will have a better result than whatever this mess is supposed to be.
My bag of potatoes was ripped open I will not pickup from this location for awhile
I was so excited to try these and when they were cooking they smelled great but that is when it stopped. The texture was so odd and made them very undesirable. They truly were inedible because it was if they were tough. You couldn't bite through them. Basically chew on them and then spit them out. They need to pull these from the shelf and start back at square one.
The mushrooms look absolutely nothing like what was on the photo. They were dark and tiny and clumped together. Photo makes it look delicious but I think they should really show what you actually get in the package…
