Really great for making charcoal and tee tree oil soap!
I used it to ease the gout and it works. I like it in the plastic container because it is easier to manage with the screw on lid. I have had it in bags before and the charcoal gets into the groove of the part to seal the bag and so I can never get it closed again. I only use it when I get a bad bout attack. Make a mud with water and active charcoal and put it on the affected joint.
The charcoal is very very fine. We used this in soap and it turned clear soap dark black. It's great for doing some creative designs in soap bars
I would have given this 5 stars except I didn't realize the container was gonna be so big and bulky and I dropped it spilling some of the contents so I'm mad cause it went everywhere. The container definitely needs a hand grip like what's on the Folgers large canisters! Otherwise product itself is great.
Tried as a home remedy for gout. Reduced foot/toe swelling and a lot (not all) of the pain over night for me. No taste, gritty to consume and a big mess to work with. Will discolor fingers and anything it gets on, washes off pretty well. Comes with a black scoop and difficult to find in black charcoal. I am trying capsules for more convenience but will use as paste when I have patience to deal with the mess. 4 stars cause I did see improvement quickly.

These folks are marketing geniuses. You are really impressed with the giant container that shows up, until you open it. The container was not even half full!!
