I got these for the slimming aspect, I usually can wear a 10 or 12 and be comfortable. But just to ensure the right fit, I purchased a 12. I definitely could've gotten a 10. They run a size too big. But I am too afraid that a size smaller will be uncomfortable or ill-fitting, so I'll stick with these. They're pretty cute, too, in Heather grey.
pants run true to size, but are very unflattering. I am 5'4", and they are so high-waisted that the waistband hits about the same place as my bra band. Also, they were too short, and the thigh portion was far too large. The material was also very cheap-feeling, and they look cheap, overall. The "George" line at WalMart is usually good enough to stand up against far more expensive brands, but these pants scream "I shop at walmart". I do not recommend these.
the overall product is nice but the crotch was way too long for me. It's almost down to my knee and so I had to return them. Although the pants my work for some ladies but I am only 5'4" tall.
