I bought this at a local store about 1 yr ago. Its the best I've found for traveling and home. I sell Biker gear at Bike Rallies all over the country. It works great in my RV. It takes up little to no space and has everything you need right there. I would tell everyone who needs a good rack to buy this one.
I thought the bottles where glass,but they where plastic. I use them for a pill container because I take 14 defferent pills so instead of having pill bottles all over the table I have one item on the table. I think it is worth more to me then what I paid
I've had this spice rack for over 10 years now, and I highly recommend it. It's simple, inexpensive, but most importantly, practical since everyones on a budget these days. The white cylinder jars have plastic sticker labels for the prefilled spice. It's not that difficult to remove the labels, print your own and tape them to the tops of the lids so that you can have whatever spices you want, and if you feel like changing out the spices all together its a breeze. This is more practical then the more expensive racks because those labels can be extremely difficult to remove, they end up smudging and being a general pain. The plastic sprinkle hole cover for the spice jars are easily removed so you can pour or sprinkle to your hearts content. Since plastic tends to 'soak in' the flavor of whatever spice you were using, I recommend washing them in between spice replacements. Just make sure they are completely dry before you fill them back up :-). A note on cosmetics. It's an attractive addition to any, and I do mean, any kitchen. It's a durable piece of kitchen equipment, and like any chef will tell you you need to have durability, practicality, and usability to survive in any kitchen. I love mine, and I hope to get many more years of use out of it.
I purchased this product based on other reviews that stated the spice bottles were glass. However, when I received this item, I found out they had changed that to plastic. Good value for the money I suppose, but I spent alot of time looking specifically for something with glass bottles.
