Bought this, it came with when I ordered replacement cables, I have not tried out the bow holder yet but plan on a little late season bow hunting
Summit Universal bow holder was just what I was looking for. Easily attaches to tree stand in seconds and holds bow flawlessly. Thanks again summit for great product.
This bow hanger is handy and keeps my bow ready to go right where I need it, when I need it. It's good quality and tightens down solid to the stand. Maybe they could make it so it folds in and out so it doesn't catch on things when walking into the stand. Overall good product.
I'm glad,I bought this. I've been laying my bow down across the front bar or leaning it in the seat, I'm kinda nervous using the bow holder but that will disappear.
The concept is nice but the bow holder does not work. I've installed it correctly on a couple different stands. Worked great at first, but as the rubber coating wears off, the holder spins inside the bracket. If I could attach a short video, you would see what I'm talking about. With modern machining tech today, it should be a perfect fit, sadly, it is not.
I just got this in anticipation for this coming deer season. I got it fastened and set up for my bow and it looked great as soon as I set my bow in the holder the teeth could not support the weight and the hole thing began to spin, tore the rubber coating off of the hex where the teeth were supposed to catch which only made the whole issue worse. I can now spin the holder within the clamp without effort. It took all of 3 seconds for this to be broken. Maybe it's a special issue, but I'm very disappointed I own the SD 180 and expected high quality from summit on this part
I love about everything that summit makes, but this bow holder is absolute junk. I ordered this hoping that the few bad reviews were user error, but was disappointed to find the same problem as others have had. There are 12 teeth that hold the holder in position, and on the bow holder itself a nut with 6 sides holds it in place. This would work great if there were only 6 sides to the holder instead of 12, the more teeth you add, the less contact the nut has with the holder, so there is quite a bit of wiggle room to begin with which should not be the case. So before taking it up a tree I installed it to my viper, tightened it down as tight as I could get it to help reduce the amount of wobble it had. Put my bow on to test it, and it rounds out the teeth the moment I put it on there. I'm not knocking summit, but this design is very flawed and it is junk. Highly do not recommend. Very disappointed.
In no was did I think it was gonna be this bad. No matter what I do I can't screw it tight enough to hold my bow. All it does is just spin around in a circle.
This thing stripped the first time I used it no matter what I did it was slipping and sliding around, not worth it at all… my bow is not heavy I just purchased the newest Mathews it just stripped and I watch my bow fall… thank god I had soft landing below me.
I wanted to love this bow holder but it was stripped before I installed it. It never would tighten down and my bow would just tip it over every time. I'm sure it's a great product if you don't get a dud like me
