Ive been using this oil on my Subaru for over 10years now. Currently mileage @230k miles There has been a shortage recently of T6, And I may need to use an alternative 1/2022
I run it in my drag truck, Holds up to the heat and RPS for the whole season.
I have been using this oil in my 1998 Honda F6 Valkyrie Tourer for 6 years now, and have had no issues with clutch operation. Even at full throttle with the big 6 cylinder engine, no clutch slippage. Also, the notorious Valkyrie top gear whine was a lot quieter immediately after the first oil change. It's also priced a lot cheaper than the competing oils, a nice added bonus. I don't hesitate to change the oil when I should, when the price is about half of other high end or OEM oils. It's available at many local retailers, so, it's easy to obtain. I wish it was available in other weights like 5W20. I would use it my 2010 F150 5.4L if I could, because it's really not that much more expensive than conventional oil.
The only thing out there that's better than this is Delvac 1 ESP. However, it costs a LOT more, so that means that this Rotella T6 is the best bang for the buck--especially when Shell is running a $5 per gallon rebate. So, be sure to check Shell's website to see if they're running rebates when you buy this.
I've been using shell rotella t6 5w40 for about a year now and this oil is awesome! Run it in my 1994 jeep grand Cherokee 4.0l and my 1991 Volvo 740 turbo and the engines love it they run alot smoother and quieter and shell rotella t6 5w40 is my first choice for my vehicles for the protection of the internal parts of my engines and to keep them running strong and running long!
I have a 17 year old Volvo TAMD41P-A diesel in my 31' recreational trawler. Prior engine oils for the prior owner (11 years) and me have been 15-40 dino oils, until I switched to full synthetic engine oil, also 15-40. Operating temperature dropped 5 degrees at standard cruising RPM of 1800 to 2200 (only one of two thermostats in place most of that time), the engine runs quieter and more smoothly. Based on research I have found, I know that my engine is running cleaner, with other attributes of reduced internal corrosion, less wear, etc. After installing 2 new thermostats, the engine runs precisely on specification for operating temperature through the full range of RPM, right up to wide open throttle, 3800 (end of the day 10 minute spike to clean the exhaust system ). Further, smoke when starting is greatly diminished to almost zero. I am completely satisfied that I am doing all that I can to accomplish optimal engine performance and protection with Rotella T6 over the last two years, and I am comfortable recommending Rotella T6 to boating friends with diesels, confident in the cost/benefit of using the best oil quality, grade and viscosity for my application.
Iv ran a few different oils in my race bikes and ever since the switch from A recommendation from my father that has a gold wing with 90,000 miles no issues my race engines show very very minimal wear and tear in between seasons
This 2.5 gallon is perfect for many light truck Diesel oil change capacities. One big bottle versus multiple 8-13 quart bottles. My 6.6 duramax takes exactly 10 quarts. The 2.5 gallons is that amount.
This oil meets the specs i require. Good brand name. Been around for a long time. Wal-Mart.com had a better price than most and being available for local pickup now made a difference.
Didn't notice a difference between that and what was in there previously. Did read some other mixed reviews with some of the additives in there. Will see if the burnoff messes with my O2 sensor
