The SE630 is so easy to use right out of the box. I love that I'm now able to embroidery special labels for my quilts.
Just started with embroidery and this is a great machine! I love that it sews and it's very simple to use. I will say because I am wanting to open an Etsy shop I am very limited with my designs… so I probably will buy a 5x7 soon. This was great to learn on though and I will keep it for sewing purposes! I have seen a few reviews say they were missing some parts and I thought I was one of those myself missing the bag of parts… it is very blended with the styrofoam it comes in. If you think this may be you, the parts are in a white bag. Brother you may want to change the color of the bag because this may solve the “missing parts” issues 😅
I'm new to embroidery and this is a great starter machine I have a business where I make t-shirts and this has definitely changed the game on how I make shirts. Now I offer custom embroidery on my shirts instead of just vinyl and DTF. This is an amazing machine to start off with. Easy to use and to get a feel for the function of embroidery. I already own a sewing machine from brother and this just adds to my ability to do great things with my company. I will invest in one other the larger machines later I can't wait…

It's very easy to switch between the embroidery and back to the regular sewing machine. It's very easy to switch between thread while making embroidery designs There's a lot of built in design and stitches, and my clothes turn out incredible beautiful!. and I would definitely recommend this!
Have enjoyed the SE630. However, as for all computerized equipment, it preforms well 90% of the time. I've had a few issues with embroidery and special stiches. On a few occasions stiches missed and the line was broken up. For the Embroidery, a letter in a set was a good bit mangled. On the redo's, it worked fine. Always prepare for the worst, and enjoy that it does well 90% of the time.
i am still learning the machine. I am having problems getting materials downloaded to the USB. and into the machine. I have only been successful at doing two embroidery.
I am the a newbie, this machine came highly recommended, just wish Brother had better video tutorials on how to use, not this 8 language manuel they send.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The brother se630 is a top notch machine that enables beginners and experts to sew and do embroidery. The machine has all the accessories you need. I made sure to count them all and make sure they all were included in the box because it really had that many accessories. Everything was packaged very well and everything was labeled properly. If you don't know anything about sewing and you find it difficult to thread a machine the brother machine makes it extremely easy to thread. You literally just have to follow the numbers and it will thread easily. What I really appreciate as someone who sews is how I didn't have to thread the needle by hand. That's always been something that drove me nuts and this brother machine literally threads my needs… it's amazing! The stitches came out perfect and I am so happy with the sewing aspect of the machine. As for the touch screen monitor I did have a hard time playing with it. It wouldn't do anything and it was quite frustrating. I had to YouTube some videos in order to figure it out. Overall the sewing aspect is great and the embroidery part is going to have to take me some time to get used to and play with but I'm so happy with this machine. It's an all in one machine I could ask for!
I've had this for a few months and have tried so many ways to get it threaded, but it just keeps telling me it's wrong or not on, or some other thing. I've watched countless videos and I do everything step by step, yet it doesn't thread and my needles are breaking.
I just bought the SE630. Seems like a decent enough machine. I used it for straight sewing and it runs smooth, quiet, and can get through heavier fabrics. But I just went to explore the embroidery features and I'm very disappointed to find out it does not come with all the extra feet you need. The only foot included is the ZigZag foot. You have to buy all the rest.
