The box is super heavy, and its made of particle board, not "real wood" but its just like the game on the phone and my daughter loved it. There were aotbof complaints about how hard it was to build, so I had my daddy do it. The pieces that come with it are awesome, and they came in a super cute moving box separate from the parts of the house so I was able to let my girls open the surprises while they were waiting on the build.
This house really requires two people to build, so that it will shorten the time building it. Over all it is big and sturdy, really like this lol house. The price $60 was right for me
I had a hard time finding the measurements online for this item. Assembled Product Dimensions on Walmart website description are wrong. It is 33'' tall by 37 '' wide. Purchased for $60 on sale, and I feel like that was an appropriate price given that it's not super quality. Daughter is thrilled with it.
The home turned out awesome! The rooms are wide enough to fit furniture well. Little surprise cubies for LOL's to sleep are cute (in the piano). Rooftop has a switching panel for either city view or beach view - nice touch. The instructions can be difficult for someone not used to building, and can be a bit tricky to line up the screws with the holes when you can't always see. Takes patience to build.
My daughter received this for Christmas and it was very easy to assemble. She absolutely LOVES it as she now finally has somewhere “official” to play with all of her LOL and OMG dolls. The middle 2 levels aren't high enough for an OMG doll to stand up, but they aren't free-standing dolls anyway and she has no complaints about having to sit them down on furniture vs standing. OMGs can stand on the bottom level, upper level outdoor seating and in the elevator. It's great for both the original LOLs as well as OMGs! The product is advertised as “real wood” but note that it is not painted wood, it's laminated particle board and as such, would not be suitable to getting wet. Be careful around the swimming pool - if the particle board gets wet, it will leave a watermark and could start peeling. As soon as we opened it, we noticed a small section of the laminate was peeling away from the side - nothing krazy glue couldn't fix. The box was also damaged in one of the corners during shipping, resulting in barely noticeable damage to one of the corners of the house. Not enough to return or complain. The box was huge and very heavy. You need a car and 2 ppl to lift it in to the car. It would fit in most trunks with the back seats down or in the backseat. I would not recommend picking this item up with children that have to sit in a back car seat as you will not be able to fit both (unless you have a 7-seater). I had it delivered to the store because I didn't want my daughter to see the packaging… but would otherwise have had it shipped to home. It came packed in a nondescript brown box but the box still did say LOL OMG dollhouse on it. Overall it was an EXCELLENT buy. Great quality for the price. My daughter didn't care or even notice it was last-year's model. Super happy with this purchase and would highly recommend!! Photo attached (doesn't include camera and tripod that she has set up to make her own “YouTube” videos with the dolls!).
It seemed used the wood was bent and split in a lot of places, scratches all over the floors. And it's crooked. Doesn't stand up straight. It does what it's supposed to do but the new part is lacking.
Purchased this house as a Christmas Gift. Unfortunately, a major piece of the house was missing from our box. There is no customer service number to contact the manufacturer; you can only submit an email or form on their website. Their website also states that replacement parts will take 4-6 weeks to arrive. I am extremely disappointed that not only was a part missing and we could not assemble on Christmas Day, the manufacturer had no way of requesting immediate replacement of the item. I highly suggest getting a different dollhouse.
This item was missing a floor. LOL will not send the missing piece because I bought it in June. We saved it for a Christmas present and it was a disaster for our foster child. She wanted one for months and now she has one she can't play with.
My daughter got omg mansion doll for Christmas this year. She got disappointment because the big doll does not fit in the second and third floor of the house. She choose the mansion instead of regular house lol doll because she has expecting to play with her omg dolls. Be aware if you buy this toy, only the ground floor fit this doll. Very expensive house dolls for use only the ground floor of the house. Very disappointed.
My daughter and myself were very disapointed in this item. There were several problems. First the box and doll house was damaged upon arrival. we hoped it was minor so we assembled, The next issue the hole in the base were incorrect so it was not secure. Then when it was complete and we were ready to play we relized the OMG dolls only fit in the first floor. it's supposed to be an OMG dollhouse? the rest of the house was either made for the LOL dolls or made for the twins. my daughter only or mainly owns and plays with the OMG dolls that's why we purchased this item so we have no use for it and we are not keeping. something I think should be advertised about this item so people know before they purchase.
