Got 2 gates for my new lhasa apso puppy. I first thought the walls had to be flush in order to use it but not true like the other reviews. You just have to adjust the top or bottom accordingly. I have molding throughout my house and this works at the bottom of the stairs and in the kitchen and walk ways. It even hold up to my dog thinking he is Evil Knevil!
We own a 1950’s farmhouse that doesn’t have the best airflow and I like to keep the doors open, but now I need to keep my youngest little one out of certain rooms. I’ve owned this gate style before with my first two babies and was happy with it, mostly because I loath the idea of screwing hardware into my door frames for a temporary gate solution. I was super happy to see that Evenflo has added a more attractive gate to their line of baby gates and I purchased without a question. I love it and although the unfinished looking yellow one is $10 at Walmart, I was happy to pay the extra $5 shipping for the farmhouse one. My one complaint would be that they have replaced all the metal pieces that lasted me years in the past with plastic on their new design. Not a fan of plastic, but it is what it is.
I used to have a baby gate like this one but it was a lot sturdier and didn't have any plastic components while this one does which makes me feel it might break if I'm not careful when extending and locking it. However it does get the job done and looks really nice. So I would purchase another one especially since it's not very expensive.
The gate works fine, but when I took it down after a couple months, the black bumpers had left very noticeable black circles that penetrated my wood door frame. It wont come off and it seems like the only thing Ill be able to do is have it sanded down and refinished. NOT HAPPY!
I like the gate but I don't like the lock to keep it in place. I like push down clip versus the push down and slide clip.
This was a big waste of money it broke it 2 days. The wood snapped No it wasn't too tight and bowed.
i would not order this this is how i got my order broken and i didn't not get my refund are A new item
Item broke within a few days trash do not buy it's so larger and annoying to return it's not worth it Buy a different one and save yourself or the trouble and money
Looked like it would work but one is expected to mount with tabs. The gate does not stay in place—doesn't lock/unlock into place. Looks sturdy like older types of gates. Doesn't work.
The gate came damage and didn't hold up a day still haven't been able to get a refund or return the item it was delivered by them to my house have no transportation to return now I'm out the money and my son still has access to stairway I use Walmart daily you think they'd take care of their loyal customers
