this is the ultimate smoker. rakes for jerky, wide deep shelves for whole slabs of meat, big turkeys, room for a weeks worth of food done in one use. we have found instructions that are so easy to follow and have had the best smoked meats and vegetables with the greatest of ease. love love this smoker. it was the best price on the internet and arrived in 3 days, yes, 3 days. thank you.
I have a 7' quarter inch steel smoker as well, but this Cajun Injector Smoker is GREAT and a lot less work than the log smoker. Meat smoked very well, lots of flavor, better than I thought. Well worth the money, just depend on the size you're looking for. I would say stop dreaming and go for it...
It is the right size to do 25lbs of sausage at a time. The racks are sturdy and easy to clean.
The size is great. I bought this unit because my Masterbuilt would not fit a full packer brisket. I am able to fit a 15 lb brisket easily. I've only used it twice but temp seems to be fairly accurate. I also like that it comes with a rib racks and sausage hooks. Where it is lacking is the wood chute and overall smoke output. In order to get constant smoke, I have to dump a load of chips every 15 mins... Not fun on long cooks. Even smoking a brisket for 6 hours before wrapping, there was only a very mild smoke flavor.
the smoker looks good on the outside but would love to be able to see interior and the location of the heating coil and interior location of drip pan chip location ect. I know some reviews are good it would be good to see all of interior very poor presentation of smoker
