The day I got the protectant I went outside and used it on my hot tub cover. The hot tub stays in the sun most of the day and gets debris off trees that sticks tom the cover. I swear by 303 products for all my Marine needs, I have a 2007 Malibu Wakesetter with brand new vinyls, I rely on 303 and their cleaners and protectants to ensure long, clean, protected interior cushions for all my long days in the hot sun. 303's clear vinyl cleaner and protectant is my primary go to, and as with all their products, it meets and exceeds my expectations! I have used other 303 products and had good results with them. This 303 Marine vinyl performed as I expected . Nice low sheen finish when dry, no strong odor and easy to use. I purchased a 1949 Jeep CJ2, with a Bestop, about a year ago. The Bestop doors were seldom used and had been in storage for years. After washing them they looked great except for the windows. They were so bad that you could not even see through them. I decided to try this product and hope for the best. After spraying a light coat and wiping off with a microfiber cloth - as directed, I was disappointed. Although some dirt was on the cloth, the clear vinyl looked about the same. My first thought was "this stuff may be OK for some uses but I guess my windows are too far gone". Luckily, I decided to try another pass. This time I used a little more solution and rubbed a little harder. I only did one little area to see if there was any improvement. It was actually working! Now I'm excited and with a few more passes it was starting to look really good. Finally after about 30 minutes of work, on one window, it is crystal clear!! Absolutely all the grime (or whatever it was) is completely gone and it looks like brand new. Well, except for a few scratch marks and around the edges, where I didn't concentrate on. I don't know if this stuff will erase the scratches, with some more effort, but I'm gonna give it a try. I know the edges will come out fine as will the other door window. The rest of the top was easy, just spray on like any glass cleaner and wipe off thoroughly. Crystal clear and shiny - just like new. Although it did take some time and effort on those door windows, it was totally worth it. Glad I didn't give up on the first pass. Like the other 303 products - Highly Recommended!!! I just used the clear vinyl protectant cleaner on an original 1968 Mustang with vinyl seats. It cleaned the seats nicely left them with a low sheen finish no oily texture it exceeded my expectations the car looks great next I will try it on my boat seats and see how that comes out but I expect it to be just as the mustang great condition thank you [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
MY boat is still in storage and I put the canvas up and cleaned both sides of the clear vinyl or isinglass with 303 Clear Vinyl Protective Cleaner. At first, it didn't seem to clear and left a dull finish but I started using one microfiber cloth to apply and a second to polish and that was the difference. It left them brilliant and very clear with sharp detail of objects as you look through the glass. I wasn't sure how many uses there would be for this product, but after a better understanding, it has many. I was thinking more inside-the-box for a convertible top window on a car. At this time, I only have short-term experience, as it's just getting warm enough to get a convertible out (or boat, for that matter). However, I'm really liking this product on not just clear vinyl- on which it applies & dries after a decent amount of buffing to a very nice sheen- it also seems to work well on hard vinyl & plastic trim surfaces where you wouldn't want a glossy treatment. Surfaces such as dashboards & dash caps, door panels, etc. Any surface that sun shines on is much nicer with a product like this that dries to a protective sheen vs a protectant that leaves a "wet" appearance that can attract dust. So, it applies wet but after some rubbing & buffing dries to a nice sheen. Assuming it is offering the UV protection it states- which I'll only know over time, I'm pretty satisfied with how it functions. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is a tough product to rate, without waiting years.... Yes, 303 protectants have a strong reputation, but how do I rate a vinyl "protectant" that I can't see the results of? Product has no alcohol, so that is a good thing. Is dries clear and evenly, so that is another plus. I applied the vinyl protectant to my motorcycle windshield and seats, as well as the dash and vinyl panels of both my cars. Dust seems to be minimal and the shine looks clean. As for the protectant? We will see.... 4 stars for 303 and its reputation... zero for "guessing" on the protectant part. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
