I bought this because I did not want a comforter because they are too bulky but I needed something with substance to keep me warm. This was the perfect compromise and I can wash it in the washer at home. Nice feel, good look, good warmth. It looks beautiful on my bed and adds a touch of elegance because of the silky feel.
The description and pictures of the quilt are accurate. It's very soft- one side has a sheen and the other doesn't. I was hoping it would have a different colored back (couldn't tell in the picture) but it doesn't. Not very thick so in January in Minnesota we use another blanket with it, but that's to be expected.
My husband ruined my comforter (he didn't know it was dry clean only) and I needed a quick fix. This matched my shams, bed skirt, throw pillows & other decor. For the price I just figured if it didn't go I could always use it as a throw when company is over. I am very pleased, I must say. It has a sateen feel, and my husband likes it more than the $500 comforter he ruined, he always complained it was too hot/heavy. This quilt has just enough weight to keep me warm but not sweating, even at 9 months pregnant. There was a tiny imperfection in the quilting, but I just flipped it around and my shams cover it. I'm severely OCD so no one but me noticed it. All in all, so worth the the price.

I also purchased the leopard print sheets which is separate, but they are so smooth and silky. The comforter is also very silky, I plan on not using while my daughter is visiting with her two dogs during Christmas because I think their toenails will rip in a heartbeat if they decide to jump. I don't have dogs!
This item was ordered 2 different times. I was looking forward to this. Both times the wrong size came. I won't try again. This was originally a Xmas present. Now I have to look for a different one. It was soft though an wish the right size just would've come.
