This potty was excellent for us.. i had 2 potty chairs before this.. one i had purchased and one passed down from when my nephews were learning to go on the potty and on all of them my daughters number ones would go over the tiny splash guards and the number one would end up all over the floor leaving my daughter in tears numerous times because she thought it was her fault.. We bought this about 4 weeks ago and have had no problems.. she loves it and it doesn't splash out all over, the price was great for a great product ..
I specifically bought this pink frog pottie chair to help with pottie training my 2 year old. The previous chair I had purchased she did not like to sit on, i think because it was very uncomfortable. From the minute I bought this one home she was sitting on it without any issues, she knew this chair was for her. Over the last month in owning this she will jump onto by herself and has finally started going to the bathroom it. Removable bowl makes it very easy to clean. I saw some posts about this being hard for little girls to sit on due to the raised lip, but my daughter has had no problems getting on the seat and she is small for her age.
The potty chair is inexpensive but yet a great product the comfortability and ease of the children getting on and off of it is great.
I know many have said that there is a problem with the little girls having to open there legs wide. But we did not have that issue. My daughter is 19 months and about the size of the little girl in the picture. Its super easy to clean, light weight, my daughter can carry it from room to room. There just 2 simple parts to clean. Love it!!!
Love this potty! We bought it for my 15 month old for Christmas and we constantly find her in her room sitting on it. The design is simple, and cute so it catches her attention. :). I think this item is priced right and the perfect first potty for little learners :)
I have potty-trained a few children in my life and this is the most potty-train friendly potty. It is the perfect height. It is splash-proof. It's comfortable. It is simple to clean. In the past I used potty chairs that had lots of parts. It was difficult to clean. It seemed that urine would seep into all sorts of places and was hard to clean out. This potty is the BEST. The molded parts keep the urine from going anywhere but the "bowl". First time trainers may think they need a potty with lots of bells and whistles, but you don't. This potty is tops and my child loves it!
I LOVE this seat. I bought 1 pink and 1 green (I have a son and daughter that are 19 mo apart). This is by far the best seat we have used. It is only two pieces and the seat just lifts off so you can empty it and clean it with only one hand.
the only problem with this potty is it's a little tricky to sit on. but once my child figured it out, no issues.
I bought this several months ago for my daughter. She is quite tiny for her age, and during our potty training beginnings she didn't like this potty. The stepping over it and having to have her legs spread wide was uncomfortable for her and she wouldn't stay on it long at all. As I said she is a smaller sized child, so this could have been the issue. The product itself was great. Nothing wrong with it itself and if she was comfortable with it, it would have served its purpose I'm assuming. She is the 5th child I potty trained and I've always used either a regular toilet or a potty designed like a regular toilet with no issues. This potty and ones of similar design may be a bit awkward for children.
The price attracted me to this potty, but I think I will be donating it and buying a new one. My daugther was enthusiastic about it at first (she liked the frog), but has the hardest time to climb on/off the potty. She does use the side handles, but unfortunately the frog's face is just so high, that she gets "trapped" while sitting on it. If you are patient enough to always take your daughter's pants entirely off for potty time, then I guess this potty will be fine. But, my daughter simply cannot pull her pants down, and spread her legs comfortably because of the frog head. She basically has to coordinate sitting down, and then try to stand up which is a challenge for her #probably becuase her feet cannot touch the ground comfortably with her legs/knees so widely split. Plus, with the frog's face, it is hard for her to sit with the bottom of her feet touching the floor (which I guess is good for learning how to do the #2 on the potty#. She no longer has any interest in the potty, and now always asks to be placed up on the regular toliet. I should mention that my daugther is 26 months now, and pretty tall for hear age...they just shouldn't have made the frogs face so tall, and so wide!
