We received this item as a gift and someone assembled it for us, so I can't comment about that, but it is a great piece and the top tray (that holds the changing pad) is removable so when you are done with changing diapers for good, you can remove that and it just looks like a little bookshelf/drawer set with a flat top. We are very pleased and can't wait to start using it!
I deliberated on buying this b/c I've never bought online before and didn't know what quality to expect! But this changing table is so beautiful! It is made with quality wood and it's definitely espresso colored. It's not as dark as in the picture in the listing. It was fairly easy to put together. I did most of the work, and I'm nine months pregnant. My husband did have to screw some hard to reach places in for me but other than that, it was easy. I recommend this changing table!
Overall very nice but the pics show this to be black even though it says "espresso" - we have ordered many other pieces of furniture labeled as "espresso" and they were black. Disappointed about that as we will now have to paint it to match the rest of the baby's furniture. Other than that, it is nice and well built.
This changing table is beautiful at a bargain price. The color met our expectations (Espresso), but it was really time consuming to put together. The assembly instructions were also complicated. Anyway, after the changing table is finally put together, you should enjoy the look.
Nice quality for the price. If you've never put anything together it might be a little difficult but definitely not impossible. The color is more like a dark cherry wood, it is not as dark as the picture shows. Overall, nice for the price.
This changing table fit the bill. We were looking for a changing table that matched our espresso crib and presented the ability to be used as a changing table and mini dresser. The height of this piece is perfect. It doesn't require for you to bend over to utilize. Be advised that in the picture the table looks black, but it is in fact espresso. It's a really nice color. We have never ordered furniture from Walmart and were pleased with the selection. The price wasn't the best, but the product seems to be a quality piece. Our only 2 cons would be that it comes in all these separate pieces, hence took my husband and his dad a while to put together! And the other con was that there is a smell (not horrible) that comes from the drawers. I think it's a wood smell. It's slowly going away. Overall we are pleased with the purchase and hopes that it last a while.
Had to see it for myself...took one piece out of the box and could immediately tell this was DARK CHERRY and NOT espresso. Very disappointing because the piece of furniture looks to be very sturdy. Most of the other changers I have seen have looked extremely flimsy. Did site to store. Seemed to take a long time but it was there by promised delivery. Hope return is as hassle free as they say.
This is a beautiful piece of furniture; however, it was difficult to assemble. While I am 8 months pregnant, and did it mostly on my own while my husband was at work, it was still twice as hard to put together as the crib we purchased (that I mostly put together on my own as well). The finish is gorgeous, and it looks much more expensive than it actually is. The photo online is deceiving because the wood is more of a dark cherry color than an Espresso. It doesn't match the espresso crib that I bought (from another line of furniture), but because both pieces are on opposite sides of the room, it's not that noticeable. I decided to keep it simply because it is beautiful. Another thing I like about the changing table/dresser is that once the changer is no longer needed, you simply remove the screws on the backside of the piece of furniture and it's now a dresser. I like that option since a changer is only something that's needed temporarily. It is a very heavy, durable piece of furniture as well. Overall, I really like it, but the fact that the finish appears darker online than in person, and the fact that it was very difficult for me to assemble, I will only give it 4 stars.
A beautiful and sturdy piece of furniture. However, it was the biggest pain to put together! It was packaged poorly. The hardware package broke open during shipping and screws were scattered all through the box, causing a few minor scratches. Also, some of the holes that were supposed to be drilled were not. Some of the wood was slightly warped and didn't line up with the other pieces easily.
I ordered this changing table along with the Dresser and Crib from Child Of Mine. First off, it is not espresso. It is cherry. So don't be surprized when it is much lighter than what you expected. I ordered it online and got it about 1 1/2 weeks later. I started putting it together..it was soo difficult to put together. Then I got half way through and noticed they forgot to put 1 piece in the box. So then I called the company and they told me they would send the piece out..which took another week. Once I finally got it..it was no where near the right piece..not even the right color. I was soo mad. Then I ordered it again, they sent the right piece out but when I tried to put it together it didn't line up right. I just had to make it work and bend the screws to get it in. It took me hours to finish putting it together..the hardest thing ever to assemble. Don't buy this changed too late..allow for lots of mistakes. So now finally..3 weeks after I ordered it I have it together. It's very nice, but tall. And im short..so we will see how this works.. It was A LOT of trouble. If I could do it over I would save myself the trouble and not order anything from this company. But it is nice, and I havn't used it yet. The baby is due in a few weeks!
