This is a very well built changing table/dresser for non-wood. It is secured very well at any joints, and the screws, etc. line up perfectly, making for a quick assembly. The top wood edge which keeps the pad in and the baby from rolling off, is a two-fold feature. This wood edge is secured on the back of the table/dresser, and does not go through any facial boards. When the baby is older, it can be removed and used as a dresser. No marks from screws!! A good value for the money, and much better quality than most pressed wood products.
I really like the look of this changing table and the fact that the top part where the changing pad sits can be removed so it can be a dresser. It took my husband and I a long time to put it togther. I don't think 1 person could put it together alone. It has lots of pieces and the directions are pictures only - no words. There was one small scratch/indendation in the wood, but it is not noticeable and is pretty much hidden so we didn't mess with trying to replace the piece. The oak color matches the Heather Crib very closely. Our baby isn't here yet, but so far I am pleased with the purchase of this changing table.
This was a gift so I don't know first hand but my granddaughter seems to be happy with it. The fact that it has cubbies rather than just drawers is a nice feature. You have the open space for the things you need and only have 1 hand available rather than fighting to open a drawer or having everything out in the open where the baby will be getting into everything in 6-8 months. The color is a warm oak finish. The only thing better would be if it was solid wood but then it wouldn't be as inexpensive.
I really like this product. It took be awhile to put together, but it was very well constructed and study. It even came with parts if you wanted to screw it to the wall. I have no complaints. It is very nice for the price! I would recommend to anyone looking for a changing table with some drawer space that didn't want to spend to much $$.
This changing table/dresser looks great and everything, exactly like it does in the picture, but it wasn't exactly what I had hoped it would be. It took my brother and I about 2 hours or so to put it together. The directions were a bit confusing. The two back panels were most difficult to put onto the dresser. They did not have holes pre-drilled, and the few that they had did not match up with the back panels (same with the pre-drilled holes in other places), so we had to make new ones. Also, there is supposed to be a spacer thing to go in between the panels, but due to one being larger than the other it didn't work right, so there is a space between the two panels, but that being the back of the dresser it doesn't bother me so much. There were a few scratches in the wood, but nothing major or noticeable. Two of the knobs on the drawers don't screw on too tightly and just continue to spin, but that doesn't bother me. Besides the bad things, the dresser looks amazing and matches the Storkcraft Chelsea 4-in-1 crib that I also purchased perfectly. It is very sturdy and holds up well. There is plenty of room in the 2 drawers and in the cubbys. The changing table is also very nice. Overall, this product will definitely be extremely useful, and besides the minor problems we had with the backside of it, I would recommend this dresser/changing table to anyone.
So it's not solid wood, only the top really is. Then again it is a good price so I don't know if solid wood can really be expected. But it is solid in construction anyway. I am an uncoordinated person with these things and it took me about 2 hours all by myself. It's really cute when done.
for $180 you think you would get atleast a half disent piece of furniture, no way, it was an easy assembly but the whole thing is made of ikea pressed wood marereal, what a waset of money, do not buy, this is not my first changing table this one is the worste.
I would strongly suggest NOT purchasing this item. While the picture makes the item look durable and nice, its the complete opposite. 20 minutes into the pressed boards, screws, and thousand pieces, it began breaking during construction. There were several flaws in the wood as well. Do not waste your money!
