What an easy, convenient crib to have available when the babies come to visit. It's simple design is just great and it folds flat so I can store under a bed. I recommend highly.
I was torn between a portable crib and a pack and play to have at our home for our new grandbaby. Once we got this put together and bought a thicker portable crib mattress, it was a no brainer that this was the better choice. More comfortable for our granddaughter and we're not bending down to pratically the floor to get her out of it (like with a pack and play when you're no longer using the bassinett feature). This piece is sturdy, well made and a pretty little piece. Definitely buy a better mattress (a very good $20.00 investment).
I only have one negative for this product, buying sheets is hard. I live in ND and we don't have a lot of shopping options, so finding the right size sheets is not fun, but I've been using reg crib sheets and they are fine. Our kids tend to grow out of cribs at an early age (by climbing out). We needed a crib that wouldn't take up too much space, and was very versatile. This crib is a blessing! It fits in our room, so baby can be close and the adjustable platform is nice as our little one won't be able to crawl out before he out grows the crib. The folding is wonderful for trips and storage, he doesn't have to adjust to a new bed when we visit family. Set up was simple, though I do warn you to make sure everything is in the right place. I read a review while shopping about this crib being unstable, and when we first put it together it was. My husband didn't put the sliding side on correctly and it was quickly remedied (but at first the platform and the rail would drop if you looked at it hard). Once we had it set up (25 min including the error correction) it was wonderful. I found that the major complaint with this crib is the skinny mattress, is not an issue for us. I suggest you try it and then buy an additional one if needed. The only time we add padding for our child is when he gets a stuffy nose (it's that season) we prop him on his boppy in the crib so that his head is elevated. This crib is really sturdy, we have a three year old who likes to climb on everything and despite my worries it has held just fine. The adjustment of the platform is easy (but I use two hands for it ). The quality is great too, I find that most cribs that are reasonably priced tend to be not really quality products, this is and we will keep it to use for future children as well.
Hi, We ordered this from Walmart to be picked up at the store. When we put it together we noticed that the side rail was damaged so we could not drop the rail at all. We did not send it back cause we needed it and were able to use it without dropping the rail. It was a good crib to use in our bedroom until our son was able to sleep in his own room. The crib is very nice looking also we ordered the cherry finish and it was handy to use as a play pen.
Excellent product. Space saver good quality. Nice looking. Little hard to find bedding.
This is a perfect crib for grandparents. The mattress is a little thin but I purchased a thicker one to fit. Easy to put together.
Easy to put together, easy to fold up, nice all around, but the description says the mattress is 2 inches thick. It isn't even that. My daughter doesnt need much to fall asleep, but sleeping on wood sure doesn't help. I don;t understand why these crib companies always decide to skimp on the most important part of the crib! I'll pay more, just give me a nice mattress!
This is a beautiful porta-crib. We had a few minor problems with a stripped screw on the drop side and the mattress platform scraping the sides as it is raised and lowered, but my hubby fixed it. The mattress is extremely thin, so plan on buying a thicker replacement for your baby's comfort.
The fabrication of this crib is so poor that is fell apart as I was trying to assemble it. The riveted metal parts on the baseboard came apart and since I did not want to go to the trouble of returning the product only to get a similar quality unit, I repaired the part. The pressboard base also is substandard..it is vulnerable on the corners and can become deformed. This affects the performance of the product as the corners of the base rest on stops to hold it at the various height levels. Unless you are handy and can make repairs, dont buy this product.
I do not recommend this product because the mattress that comes with it is the thickness of a changing pad. If I had known this before purchasing the crib, I would not have bought it.
