We ordered the Crib online and to our suprise it was on our door step in less than 48 hours! At first when I opened it I was nervous because it looked kinda thin. But as we put it together the nicer and stronger it got.. It is a great looking crib with beautiful coloring. Like everyone says it looks like a 200+ crib. I went into a childrens used store and they had terrible looking cribs for 125 and thats used! This crib is great so far. It has not been put to use yet but we did purchase crib teething rails $12 to protect it just in case we do have any problems with ding marks. But so far not a mark. I am going to recomend this crib to every one. GREAT PRICE GREAT CRIB. Also I have to add one of the most important parts of this crib that I like. I am 5'1 and if this crib didnt have a drop side I would't be able to pick up my baby.. VERY IMPORTANT
We haven't used this yet, but so far we are very pleased! It took my husband about two hours to put together, but I would expect about that much for something like a crib. None of the pieces were scratched or defective and the finish is beautiful! I was wondering if I should have bought a more expensive crib because of some of the reviews, but I think this will be perfect. It seems very sturdy and you can't beat the price. I will say that it's a little misleading that it says it's a "lifetime" crib. There is no guard rail that you can purchase to make it into a toddler bed. Basically it would just be the three sides. Then there are no siderails to convert it to a full size bed. I'm assuming the bed frame will just have to be screwed into the headboard. However, that's not a big issue for me because I've noticed that those converstion kits are pretty $$$ and we would probably misplace them before we needed them! Because of the horrible reviews and the lack of options, I chose not to go with the corresponding Graco furniture. Instead I got the Sorelle Vicki combo and dresser in Espresso and it matches perfectly. Overall, we're extremely pleased!
The only bad thing I have to say about this product, is that the pieces were labeled incorrectly. Made it a little fun to assemble... however, this happens a lot lately, with things we have bought for our daughters. That aside, the crib is great, sturdy, and stunning, especially for it's price! I wish I had saved my time and money an got this one for our 1st baby.
I did a lot of research before deciding to go with this crib. I personally feel that it was the best buy for the money. Most convertibles that I found were about twice the price and I liked the look of this one more. Everone who's seen it compliments me on how nice it looks and they can't believe that it was so inexpensive. My daughter is now 5 weeks old and she's only slept in the crib 3 times since we brought her home, but that's because no mattress is as comfortable as mom :) We're going to start sleep training her pretty soon, so we'll get some more use out of it. In the meantime, it works well to keep her safe when I have to put her down. It was pretty easy to put together. I did it during my pregnancy, by myself in about 45 minutes or so. I didn't have any problems with scratching at the time, however a few months later, something with an edge fell and hit it, leaving a mark. It wasn't anything too bad, but it's noticeable (at least to me) since it was on the front. That tells me that if she ever takes anything (like a teether or her glow worm) with her to bed and flings it, it might leave a mark. I'm not worried about it though because nothing can be kept pristine with a baby :) All in all, I would recommend this to my friends and family.
My husband and I looked for months for a crib we liked the look of, that we could afford. We looked at this one many times before seeing it at a local store for 60 more dollars, and decided it was well worth it's money! Wasn't to bad to put together, and it looks beautiful. I would recommend this crib to anyone. Definitely not a "get what you pay for" product.
Beautiful!!!! Looks expensive... under 200.00 I am not complaining. Recieved as a gift. My husband put this together by himself in just a couple of hours. Is more of a hershey chocolate brown instead of espresso black... we were actaully very pleased with this. Haven't used yet as baby is due in 8 weeks. but at this point it is just the kind of crib we were looking for.
I bought this crib because it matched my more expensive nursery furniture, but was $149 instead of the $449 that JCPenney wanted. It took my husband and I about an hour to put together, and looks beautiful in my nursery. I was worried that it wouldn't be sturdy enough, but once we got the drop rail installed correctly, it seems it will do just fine. It looks a lot more expensive than it is, and the espresso color is just gorgeous!
I love it. The only thing I do not like is the drop-side as it shakes. I can see my son shaking this uncontrollably as he grows older, but it seems safe. I think you will have this with any drop-side as I've compared a lot looking at different cribs. I am only 22 weeks pregnant, so it'll be a while before there is even a baby in it, so I can not judge on the quality over a span of time. I do not recommend putting the wheels on, it makes it seem a little unstable, but I love it without the wheels. It looks identical to the pictures and would definitely purchase this crib again.
This crib is a nice crib that was easy to put together even being 8 month pregnant when it was assembled. The wood color is rich and looks expensive. It matched nicely to another piece of furniture I received from Baby's R Us as a gift. It's been six months and my only complaint is the wood on the top crib rail is dinging and showing the natural wood color (pine toned). Oh also the matteras (standard size) seems too small for the crib. I wonder if our son will stand at the corner one day and get wedged between the mattereas and crib. I have a bumper but it seems like it might be a possibility. We'll see. Overall I like the crib. We couldn't afford a $300-$400 crib but if your going to have more then one child I'd buy the expensive crib or plan to buy 2 of these.
This crib was fairly simple to put together. I did it by myself in about 2 hours. There were quite a few pieces but the instructions were pretty clear. I love the way it looks in the nursery. The color is exactly what I wanted, it's not black, but a very dark brown, not cherry at all. It seems pretty sturdy, my 2 1/2 yr old daughter got in it and it seemed to hold her well. I haven't tried it out with the new baby yet, it will be a few months before she's here. The only thing I did not like about this crib is the spring frame that holds the mattress. It was a little difficult to install and I would rather it be a board like the other crib I had. Overall this is a great crib for around $150!! The site to store express was great! I ordered it on a Sunday night and it was ready to be picked up on Wednesday before lunch.
