In the late 1960s Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa was the epicenter of one of the greatest spiritual revivals n History that would later be called the "Jesus Movement." Chuck Smith aka "Papa Chuck" welcomed the hippie counterculture into his church and the rest is history. Calvary Chapel had a huge influence on modern day Christianity by birthing contemporary Christian music and worship as well as creating a more informal church atmosphere. In collaboration with Chuck Smith this documentary explores the history of the Calvary Chapel Movement and its impact on Christianity as well as the life of Chuck Smith told in his own words. Also featured are interviews with his wife Kay, members of his family, the band Love Song, Franklin Graham, Tim LaHaye, many of the pastors mentored and influenced by Chuck Smith including Raul Ries, Greg Laurie, Brian Brodersen, Jeff Johnson, Steve Mays, Skip Heitzig and more. This documentary produced by an independent film company, explores the history of the Calvary Chapel Movement and its impact on Christianity as well as the life of Chuck Smith.
