The Great Value branded Stevia is the best priced one out on the market. Better deal than name branded products such as Splenda. I buy this product one a month for use in my hot teas. Works wonderfully and easily mixes in hot or cold liquids. I keep this item in the Hefty Jumbo 2.5 gallon bag and it fits well. This stevia is also certified kosher by the Orthodox Union which is definitely something I look for. Great kosher item. Highly recommend.
I just made a yellow gluten free cake mix. I also needed it to be sugar-free so I went through my arsenal of stevias. This won in taste for baking and we were all very pleased with the cake! If you are used to using stevia, and looking for a close-to-sugar taste in stevia, in my personal opinion this particular product tastes best for baking.
Of all of the non sugar sweeteners on the market, this is the only one I like. There is no overpowering taste and no bitter aftertaste. It also measures like sugar and is really great to bake with.
I would like this product back in the stores. I have a hard time finding it.
Since I am not allowed to eat sugary foods or drinks, yet still wanting to sweeten my coffee or tea and other things, I have had to use sugar substitutes. Splenda, Equal and Sweet n Low are full of chemicals that are not good, which leaves Stevia as the only alternative. Most stevia extracts are usually expensive. This fills the bill nicely, and it's a truly great deal. When you're on SS like me, every penny counts, and so this is an excellent buy.
I bought this thinking it's a better deal than the small flip top containers. It's not as sweet! This product does not contain erythritol, making it less sweet than what I usually use. It may serve its purpose for baking, but I'm using more of this in my coffee than I thougt I would.
i was disappointed with FedEx. if I. had not been out when it was delivered i may not have found the package. The package was left on a decorative chair in the front flower bed
I'm pretty sure I have bought this before and don't remember this happening. This bag leaves some sort of white film on the side of my coffee mug or glass. Whatever it is it is pretty well stuck on the side, and even makes it through the dishwasher. Also this bag leaves a bad aftertaste that I don't remember from the earlier bag
I tried baking some chocolate chip cookies with this, supposedly it bakes the same as regular sugar. It does NOT! Not only were the cookies nearly flavorless, they would not set. If I could give this zero stars for baking I would. Shell out the extra $$ and get the In the Raw brand all purpose sugar. I'm sure this is great for other purposes, just not for baking.
