Our mattress was very firm and I was waking up with a sore neck and back. The mattress topper arrived a week sooner than the estimated shipping date which was fantastic. At first, I couldn't tell much of a difference, but I slept great the first night, and it added just the right amount of comfort. We've been using it for about a week now and haven't had anymore achy backs. I am definitely glad we purchased this mattress topper.
Admittedly, I have only had this a little over a week , but I have found no problems. As mentioned in other reviews, when it came out of the packaging the squares were hard and condensed, but I took some time and worked out and fluffed each of the squares. We use it on a foam mattress and it works beautifully. However, I can see how, as some reviews state that it might not work well on a firm mattress and therefore, you should be aware of that if you are wanting it for a conventional mattress. But for us it is working just as we wanted. I also have not washed it yet, as it is under another mattress pad so I am not sure how it will hold up in wash or overtime since it is protected with additional pad. But so far so good and we are delighted with the purchase.
It really is so soft and comforting. Now I have to say I've only had mine a week so I haven't washed it yet and that may be a problem. I don't think it will fit in my small machine.....but it's really a pleasure to sleep on and my bed was not uncomfortable before. My dog, a pit bull, who sleeps on my bed, used to get up early and try to get me to get up too. But since we got this topper she doesn't want to get out of bed either. Really very nice and if for any reason it gets damaged in washing or loses it's softness I'll buy another one......it's got me really spoiled.
When I went to pick this up, I opened the box and saw a air suctioned "smaller than I expected" bag. I thought, wow this thing is going to really stink... But I took it home and when I opened the bag, the topper "puffed", so I laid it out on the bed for a test. First I was like, yeah its OK...so I decided to put it on the bed and when I went to sleep, I slept wonderfully. It has a puffy fluffy feel to it, which is what I was looking for. AND...I do not have as many sore muscles upon waking up as well! This is one of the best pads/toppers at this price. As far as reading other reviews, it doesnt "crackle" for us and its not really that hot to sleep on, but we have constant air flow as well at all times. It does however have a felty backing (which I could see tearing at full capacity in the washer) but it is worth a try out!
I ordered this to make my old not comfortable at all mattress last longer.It has met all my expectations.It is soft,lofty and I qet a much better quality of sleep and am not waking up every couple of hours.downside the first few days i didnt want to get out of bed it was so comfortable. tip:rotate the topper when you change your linens
I absolutely love this mattress topper. I have a memory foam bed and it is pretty flat. This topper made the bed 100 times more comfortable and all the kinks I was getting in my lower back disappeared. The only draw back I have is in washing it. I made the mistake the first time of not following the washing instructions and it fell apart on me. The backing is very thin and is recommended to wash it in a commercial washing machine, I didn't listen... Had a horrible mess! The second one began ok, I washed it on delicate and did this a few times without having any issues. Then... yep, I messed up and didn't wash it on the right setting and it fell apart again! I have debated about just getting something different but all the reviews on the ones I have looked at, people have the same problem. I decided to get this again because I LOVE it that much! I just have to remember to be careful when I wash it.
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this and saw a lot hailing it as being so soft it was like sleeping on a cloud. It's not. It's not bad but it's really not any better than other mattress toppers I've had. I can say I'm not experiencing the "sleeping on balls" issue. When I look at the bed, it looks like I should be feeling that, but when I lay down, it's not. Don't let the small packaging scare you either. It did me! All my previous toppers came in large bags but this one came in a much smaller one because the topper is shrink sealed. It was pretty neat to watch puff up when I opened it. It definitely meets the expectations of a mattress topper, meaning it's better than the mattress alone, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. I would buy again.
I bought this bed cover to make up for a mistake in buying a" 1800 mattress" that was too firm. The bed felt like a piece of wood supported by truck springs. In a effort to soften the the rocks I was sleeping on, I purchased the topper, also avoiding the nightmare and expense of returning the bed . At first the bed topper seemed to work, it is very plush and stays in position. But alas, the bed was just too much for the puny bed liner to handle. I found the plush pockets of stuffing the topper was constructed of felt lumpy , still better then the rocks . It is a good valve for what it is. PS: never buy a bed before you try it.
over all it does what its supposed to do its soft a little small on the sizes (a couple inches short) not sure if it was just mine or what but when I got it I saw a few tiny spots where a little bit of the stuffing came out of it it honestly was barley noticeable but I saw it and returned it honestly wasn't a big deal but I didn't want any more stuffing coming out of it and not be able to return/exchange it later on but im very picky like that gotta love having OCD! lol but don't let that bother you it really is a wonderful product to have just get a size up from what your bed is to have it fit better with the added room
This mattress topper makes you feel like you're laying with lumps all down your back. It's like they took a few dozen little tuffs of fiber fill and sewed in little squares. I could probably do this myself if so inclined. It looks good but I wouldn't waste too much on it. I got it for a used, free twin so it's better than nothing. The bed isn't any better or worse for it, just different. I should have actually went to a store and felt them out before I bought anything like this. That's what I'd recommend.
