I bought one for my husband who has had numerous neck surgeries and he loves it. He had the same pillow forever and I finally replaced it with this one and he is completely over joyed with it. I bought me one. Can't wait to receive it. I paid three times as much for expensive foam pillows and they are as hard as a rock and weigh about five pounds a piece. Be glad to replace it.
I love this pillow. Don't let the low price fool you. This pillow is wonderful for anyone who sleeps on their side or tummy. I wish I had ordered more than one. I hope Walmart always keeps them in stock.
This pillow is very soft and keeps it's shape so far. I love it. It seems to be helping with the neck and back pain. The gel filling seems to be a good idea to keep it from going flat or bunching up like with regular pillows.
My husband and I have been sleeping on these pillows a couple weeks now. This is the second set of pillows we have tried in our quest to find good sleeping pillows. Seems like they are all either way to big/thick or just flat. We both like these pillows. Does the gel keep you cool or make them more comfortable? Maybe. I have to give them four stars instead of five because they have gotten flatter but are still comfortable. I don't know about the longevity but if they go flatter they will end up in the closet as spares.
I actually like these pillows very much, so far. But there is nothing "gel" about them. The site description says "gel", the packaging says "gel-fiber", but the tag on the pillow itself says "100% polyester fiber fill." Unless gel is made from polyester fibers, this is not a gel pillow. That said, I find it to be quite comfortable. Not the "extra firm support" claimed on the package, for which I personally am glad, but nicely plump and cushiony. The packaging also claims that they resist clumping. That remains to be seen, especially since other packaging claims are not exactly spot on, but for now, at least, I'm pleased with the purchase. I fluff them each morning and so far they plump back up with no lumpiness. Over a lifetime of rather frequent travel, I have slept on an amazing variety of pillows. I would say that these were among the most comfortable for me (a side sleeper) -- neither too firm nor too soft, too flat nor too plump. At this point, they seem well worth the price. If they really do resist clumping, they'll be a fantastic bargain.
Received a couple of weeks ago and have used since and it's not getting any better. Starts out nice and fluffy, but like most poly-fill pillows, this one compresses to nothing when you sleep on it, Regardless of how you try to positition it, it's hard to get much neck support. Not sure what the gel does for it -- doesn't seem any different than other poly-fill pillows. I bought the king size and it's about the same size as the 2 for $10 Walmart king pillows I use to fill the pillow shams for dressing up the bed. Slightly nicer cover than the cheaper ones, but if you're looking for something to properly support your head and neck, keep looking.
I purchased 4 of these pillows (2 King & 2 Standard size) and all 4 pillows all seem very different. One King size pillow is nice, fluffy, soft, and very comfy. The 2nd King size pillow is very flat and has hardly no fill inside of it (maybe enough filling for a Standard size pillow but not a King size pillow) and is so flat that the actual pillow is about 1 inch thick and will be throwing that one away and replacing it, and both of the Standard size pillows are very firm (1 is way more firmer then the other) and both are to firm for my liking because, they dont allow for your head to mold in the pillow and give me a sore neck when I sleep on them. Also one of the Standard size pillows the less firmer one actually had a rip in the sewen seam and had the stuffing/filling coming out of it. I would not recommend these pillows to anyone because, they are all so different. You just dont know if you will get a pillow thats missing most of the filling and is very flat or a pillow that's seam was not sewen correctly and the filling is coming out, or a very very firm pillow. I got 1 out of the 4 pillows that I like and will keep, and of the other 3, 1 is so flat that it will be thrown out and the other 2 Standard size pillows I will give away. I also payed the shipping costs as well so each pillow ended up costing me about an extra couple of bucks per pillow. Very disappointing and poor quality pillows. I would recommend just going to your local Wal-Mart and checking out their selection of pillows because, that way you can feel and look at the pillow so that you will know what you are actually getting.
I was looking forward to a "gel" pillow it is a gel fiber, whatever that is. its feels the same as a $4 pillow but had no support as soon as I put my head on it, it went flat
Well, the pillow seemed well constructed at the seams, fabric looked nice. Might be nice as a sham stuffer for looks. Was not firm, appeared to be fairly fluffy, yet not much filling, returned as soon as I picked it up. When pressure was applied, it sunk to the bottom. I can't see this pillow giving much support at all.
Horrible product worst neck cramp very. I will never buy this product again. Mainstays had the best gel pillows ever and they lasted me very well over two years. I wish Walmart would carry them again. New Point home fashions doesn't have any contact information or official website. BUYERS BE AWARE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
