I made spaghetti with it last night and me and my children couldnât even tell that it was not meat. I will definitely be purchasing this product again
If the price could come down, for those of us with food allergies, no matter what religion, seek out the kosher label that verifies it contains no meat or dairy ingredients, we would be thrilled buying this product line more often. The kids allergic to any dairy really like it.
Love it. Not vegetarian but can be with great tasting meat like this
I made this into little patties and browned them on both sides in a tiny bit of oil and topped them with cheese and put them into small buns to make sliders. They were crunchy on the outside and tasted like meat. I am very picky and I really enjoyed these and wanted more. My friend who joined me didn't know they weren't meat until after. They were blown away. I haven't tried other plant based meat-like products so this was my introduction and I will definitely be purchasing again.
I made chili with this product and my adult children did not complain. They are not vegan nor gluten free and they ate it and said it was not bad. I think it was very good and am thankful that it is both vegan and gluten free. I browned this product and added it to the chili after the chili tomatoes stewed for an hour, and only heated it.
The reviews were brutal but if you like beyond you'll likely enjoy these...it has a mellow savory flavor so it allows seasoning...don't bulk up on your patties as the texture is softer than regular beef or vegan crumbles...it will stick to the pan so pay attention while cooking
My wife and I purchased this product and the Beyond Burger patties. The Beyond Burgers were great! The burgers we made with the Lightlife product were disgusting! The texture was okay but the taste was horrible. We threw our burgers in the trash. It might work in spaghetti or chilly but not a hamburger.
Iâm a vegetarian, so Iâm always looking to try new meat substitute, but this one by far is the worst. Iâve eatten TVP and brands like Boca, Gardein, Morning Star and Quorn. Iâve eatten gluten and chick peas protein but this was the first time I used pea protein as a meat alternative. It tasted kind of sweet and it was a very sticky consistency. I bought this brand because Iâve try their hotdogs (which are really good). Too expensive for the final result.
