We received our kettle a few weeks ago and we absolutely love it. It works fantastic and we love the little ding it makes when it's boiled. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because I left water boiling in the stove and forgot about it. When I tried to get it off the stove after the pan boiled dry, I burned my hand. This item is beautiful on my counter and a much safer option for me. I love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried all manner of electric kettles for my multiple daily cups of Yorkshire Gold Tea. The KitchenAidElectric kettle is the best! It heats very rapidly and efficiently. The design and engineering are elegant (just like all of my other KitchenAid appliances). Finally- the cherry red color makes it a thing of beauty.
The KitchenAid Proline 1.5 Liter Kettle is a fast heating kettle that stays cool to the touch. It may be purchased in multiple colors. The Frosted Pearl White was my choice. Low profile, easy to keep clean, variable temperature, rapid boil, convenient flip-top lid, volume level indicator near handle on kettle, dual stainless steel wall construction, a silicon plastic liner for cleanliness, nearly spot-free inside after use, analog temperature gauge on kettle with both degrees C or F, drip-free pour spout neatly dispenses liquids. Convenient temperature slide selector on base for accurate temperature desired, No keep-warm function however, the dual walled kettle retains temperature well and will bring desired temperature back in under a minute. Simply press the ON/OFF button on the base and this rapid heating kettle will warm the contents quickly. Temperature selector and water level indicator are both LED lit and a faint, but audible tone sounds to indicate contents are warm to desired temperature. First impression is the bit pricey cost and no keep-warm function but the functionality is excellent and saves energy with the rapid warming capability. Just warm it when you want it; less than a minute.... Nicely designed and quality throughout. Recommend this kettle highly... (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this teapot because of the dual number dial. I can adjust the temperature of the water. I love the teapot.
We bought this because we love the pearl white color and the ability to heat the water to whatever temperature you wanted up to boiling point. Easy to use and has a quick boil function. Very happy with our purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I really liked the kettle, the water boils quickly, quiet, beautiful, shows the temperature of the water (you can adjust the water temperature yourself). The only negative, the base on which the kettle stands is scratched (I bought the kettle two weeks ago). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
In theory, this had everything I wanted in a new electric tea kettle: a soft top open, variable temperature setting, and an ergonomic fit in my hand and a stylish look. However, the soft top open seemed a bit sticky and didn't open more than about a 65 degree angle without some help. The biggest downfall is that it had a small piece of silicone around the sensor exposed to hot water AND the entire plastic side panel withe measurements also was exposed to the hot water. So that's a hard pass for me. WHY is it so difficult to find an electric tea kettle that doesn't have any plastic or silicone exposed to the hot water?!
We've had our kettle for a couple of years and have been disappointed from the beginning. The heater doesn't turn off when the selected temperature has been reached. The button to open the lid has broken; we now fill it through the pouring spout. These may not seem like much, but when all you want to kettle to do is heat water, it's pretty much everything. Yes it looks great, but it's simply not worth the price!
It stops boiling to 100 and the thermostat was not communicating with the base and it was not boiling the water to whatever degree you needed to be. It was always lukewarm and after five months of use. It's just horrible and it's overpriced.
