Lemon Coconut Sugar Scrub

I love this scrub. The fresh smell of lemon is the perfect way to start my morning shower. The scrub leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I use this about once a week and it has left my skin feeling so soft. I was worried how my skin would react to the coconut oil but it seems to be brighter and much softer! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
To be fair, I need to preface this by saying that I've never used a body scrub before. Right out of the box, I was unimpressed. The outside of the jar was covered in an oily mess. It did wipe off easily though. The coconut oil separates from the sugar scrub in the jar. In order to actually use it, you have to mix it up. I was in the shower when I realized this for the first time, so to mix it up, I had to claw at the sugar scrub. Not fun. I would recommend a spoon in the future. This scrub did smell really good and it left my skin a little softer than before. I don't think it made a big enough difference to be worth the mess though. I love sugar scrubs but this one was not like others I have used. I was really excited to get it and try it out. I had it in the shower and went to use it and the oil was sitting on top of the scrub (obviously) and went I went to mix it, the scrub was hard as a rock! I kept digging my nails into it and it would not budge. When I got out of the shower I had to use a fork to break it up but I had to be really careful not to puncture the think plastic of the container. Not crazy about the scent either. .
