I purchased this 10 foot cable because I sometimes need to use my phone long term and I'm not close to and outlet. This fills the bill. The cord is heavier than you would expect and my iphone 5s seems to have no problem with this. Highly recommend this if you need to use your phone while it is plugged in!
The original Apple lightning cables are thin, flimsy, fall apart way to easy and are ridiculously expensive. These Onn cables are very durable and work perfectly. The only issue is if you have a LifeProof or certain Thule cases. The lightning connector is too thick to fit these models.
Just bought this item today without reading any reviews about it! Although it is really long and made of good brand I will see how it works for me will keep update about it.
For $20, I thought this cord would be great (considering you can get cables for way cheaper elsewhere). It's pretty heavy, so I saw that as a mark of quality. However, after owning it for less than a year, one end has broken and frayed so much that the cable no longer works. I wasn't rough on it at all either, it stayed plugged in next to my bed the whole time so I could charge my phone at night. Meanwhile, I have cables that came with my Apple products that I've had for years and years and they're still good. I guess I'll stick with Apple cables.
Do not buy this! It isn't supported by Apple, and will not charge your phone! I had purchased a black one after my friend's kitten had gotten to the Apple one that came with my iPhone. I hadn't even had the black one for a year and then all of the sudden by the plug that plugs into the phone had completely split (no animals got to this one). So I went out and bought this one as a replacement, got home, plugged it into the USB adapter, plugged the charger into my phone only to get a message on my phone along the lines of "This charger is not supported by Apple and will not work properly with your phone." I understand that Apple is partly at fault for not supporting this brand of charger (it also did it with another brand I purchased), but this is being sold specifically for iPhones, iPods, and iPads when it doesn't even work with them.
it looks good. no way to check to see if it fits before you buy it. This item will not plug into the phone thru a Lifeproof case. Check it out before you buy it.
This was plugged in to my charger and just laying in my seat. It actually burnt my leather seat. I donât recommend buying this charger.
