This is a great jacket for just about every outdoor activity or for no activity at all. It is super light, yet very effective in keeping me warm. I love that I can pack it in it's pocket and toss it in my carry on bag! And the color combinations were great, it was hard to choose one!
I've looked for a long time for a jacket that is warmer than it looks. I usually need one more layer than most people but don't want to look "bundled up" when others aren't. This jacket fits the bill. I bought the vest just like it first and fell in love with it. I can layer the two, if necessary. I also love that this jacket comes in long. I wouldn't change one thing about it. I will buy it in more colors as soon as possible. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
this is a wonderful jacket. gorgeous. Id say light in weight, but more warming as this fill is high tech material. I am 5'9" and 130 lbs - I got a medium and it was very roomy. I could maybe get a small. Beautiful blues together. Very very nice. You'd have it forever.
I bought this coat for a trip to New Zealand; I just returned and it was the PERFECT coat for the trip! It's fall in NZ and the temps were cool to cold so this coat was the perfect weight to pair with a fleece for really cold or on its own for the cool autumn temps. I loved that this coat is ultra light in weight and packs down small, it's the perfect coat for travel. My husband thought it was too, he even got one for himself in the men's cut. We both loved the look, weight, and comfort and will get many years use out of them for travel and cool weather here at home. I also appreciate that EB carries tall sizes; the sleeves on this coat were perfect for my long arms!
I'm surprised at how warm it is. Great for travel. My only complaint is that I had to find a You tube video from Mountain Hardware to learn how to stuff it. Could you add a tag or a slip of paper that tells folks the stuff-pocket is the inside pocket near the chest?
I bought this jacket as I really liked the styling and the fact that it was reversible. It is very lightweight so I definitely need extra layers underneath but it is very comfortable. I do feel that it is way overpriced though. And I wish it were a tad longer.
I got this color on sale, and for the price I'm very happy with it. I got a charcoal gray color, and a turquoise inside that I wish wasn't quite so bright. The reversibility was well done and is a nice feature to have. I am normally a true medium, and the arms are a tad tight on this and the sleeves are just a bit short. However, it is extremely warm and very thin, and for those qualities alone I will be keeping it and wearing it happily. I bought it for use on a few camper van trips, but find myself already wearing it plenty of other times!
I have many EB jackets. Love them! I have this same jacket (last years model) in black and I wear it year round. It is my go to when there is a chill in the house. It's light weight. It's my third primaloft and thought that I would get the white size PM in the jacket and vest. The vest fit fine but the jacket was narrow on the top and skirted out as it went down so I returned it. I think it was a sewing fluke! I will reorder in the near future. I have several down jackets that are fabulous from EB but the primaloft doesn't shed the feathers. Would have scored 5 but I had to return it.
Very lightweight, which is very comfortable, but because it runs small, it's not possible to wear heavier or bulky garments under it. Overall, it's a very nice jacket to transition from cold to warmer weather. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The lining of the right sleeve was sewed so that I could not put my arm through it. I returned it fully expecting Eddie Bauer to send me a nondefective replacement. Unfortunately, they sent me either the exact same jacket or an identical one that had the exact same defect. Disappointed! Not expected from Eddie Bauer. Never had any problems with returns before.
