This trio of colored bell peppers works well when needing some color in a dish, and they tend to be cheaper than purchasing single bell peppers. I have yet to recieve any peppers in poor condition. The flavor has a slight spicey bite, and a juicy crispness when eaten raw. This being said, there is a downside. Some peppers might be very large and others very small within the same bag. I use these to make baked "Bell pepper Egg Cups", but I find sometimes the peppers aren't large enough to hold one egg. The picture is to show how small the yellow pepper compares to the other two.
This is supposed to be three full-sized peppers. I received one full-sized pepper, one small pepper, and one so so tiny pepper. And none of them were yellow. I don’t know how no one noticed this —-it made it all the way through packaging at the farm, through quality control, to end up at my house this way. The personal shopper didn’t care to notice, either.
Usually receive three regular size peppers. Priced by package, not by pound. This time two out of three were very small. Not happy, an extra pepper should have been added.
I’m not one to normally leave bad reviews. But when you get a live bug, and bug carcasses in your peppers, you have to warn someone. I’ve had to return my peppers 2x in a row due to poor quality. I thought it was just coincidence until I cut open my pepper while making dinner to a live bug and dead ones all over. The sucker was deep in the pepper while I took the picture, but it looked like some kind of beetle about the size of a dime. Threw it out asap.
2 of my 3 peppers had rotten spots on them. I wish that when ordering delivery they would check the produce, instead it seems they choose the most expired or gross looking products just to get rid of them.
why sell gross produce? i never get my produce from walmart but i had a busy day and had to get all my groceries from walmart on said day and i should've just not gotten produce from here because i read the reviews but like i said i was super busy and was in a rush. welp here we are with a BUG in my pepper. nice walmart 😐
Shame on you Walmart! These are the tiniest peppers I have ever seen. These came in my pick-up order. Teach your staff to do better when filling orders. Better yet, teach your staff who are accepting inventory to send this back to the vedor as unacceptable. You don't sell miniture produce at full price and act like it is acceptable. Guess this is what I get for breaking my own rule to never order produce for pick up. In fact, I need to rethink shopping at Walmart altogether.
It's a shame I have to write a negative review about this product, but this is the 2nd time ive received the 3 pack bell peppers spoiled. It sucks that who ever picks these orders thinks this is okay. It's obvious one of the Walmart staff sees this before it leaves the store. So for me to receive it this way says a lot about the employment management. Who clears product like this? I hope no one else has to deal with this, and hopefully this spreads awareness to be prevented in the future.
I have been buying this three pack of peppers all the time but the past few orders I received the peppers are getting smaller and smaller and it's not worth the money. You used to get three nice size peppers for the price and now the peppers are very small. There is no value here to purchasing these peppers from Walmart.
the pickers for walmart should consider picking foods they would take home or to their own families for dinner when picking for deliver, these peppers are aged and molded, flat out.. gross. the seeds are black when cut into it, just bad (camera/photo is from one day after purchase and in fridge crisper drawer overnight pulled to prepare dinner didn't notice when unpacking, I'll know better to order produce next time)
