I bought Trim Clean to remove old wax residue from my pickup truck bed rails. With a little elbow grease and tenacity, it came off and looks great. I added before, during and after photos. I love the Trim Cleaner!
I had not foungd anything that would remove the wax residue from the black accents on my car. This stuff works. I had to hit them a couple times and used a tooth brush but it took that white wax look off with out giving it that shiny look. Exactly what I was looking for.
I bought a car at auction and the previous owner got wax all over the black plastic trim. I couldn't get it off with anything. I stumbled across Chemical Guys on the interned and found this product. The trim clean wax remover far exceeded my expectations!!! I highly recommend this product to anyone that has wax where it shouldn't be.
I waxed my wife's Jeep Wrangler and didn't pay enough attention to keep the wax off the black plastic fenders thinking I could wash it off later. Big mistake. The black, rough plastic fenders had several wax stains as a result. I tried several YouTube hacks including erasers and tea tree oil... Nothing worked. Bought this product from Chemical Guys and it worked like a charm. Sprayed a good amount on a microfiber towel and wiped the tainted areas with medium pressure. Then with the surface still wet I used a toothbrush and medium pressure to clean deep into the rough surface. Had to repeat a couple of times on tough spots. It was not hard to use but still takes a little elbow grease and patience but it does work well.
This is a really good product if you plan on using some type of protectant after cleaning plastic trim. I recently used it to clean all the plastic trim on my F150 plastic looked ok after but really looked awesome after a coat of vrp.
I used this on my f150. I polished it the day I brought it home, and had polish marks on all the plastics. This took them all off!! Now, you have to put a bit of elbow grease in and might have to go over it a couple times, but my plastics look great!!
The product is not bad by any means it works great on newly waxed cars. However, if the wax is older and been on there for a couple of months be prepared to scrub (a lot). It is still a valuable product to have and better than most products, just not as effective as I thought on old wax. I will probably just use it every time I wash until I get it off all the plastics (it's bad).
Huge chemical guys fan but found a few products that I didn't like this is one it didn't work
I was able to use a toothbrush and Dawn dish soap and do a better job in this product. Not only does it not remove oil or any type of wax or sealant piece left behind it doesn't really remove anything. I would almost always recommend just take a toothbrush and dish soap. First chemical guys product. I am not a fan of.
After multiple attempts using this product to remove wax marks off plastic trim it did not work. I do not recommend this product.
