welcomed a new chameleon into our family, however he refused to eat from the dish that the pet retailer had advised! Therefore, I bought this product for that reason, and it was the BEST thing we could have done for him. All we have to do is place the feeder in his cage, add the desired insects, and he starts consuming them right away. Although it might be a bit expensive, it's well worth it!
I've been trying to discover ways to get my chameleon to eat without having to feed him by hand. I put this in the cage and put some bugs in it. I was immediately happy with the purchase and would strongly recommend it over any other insect bowl.
Because he wouldn't eat directly from the no escape bowl on the bottom of the cage, I was having trouble feeding my chameleon. I would have to feed him by hand using tongs, and I would be waiting for him for at least 45 minutes. I am SO happy that this was suggested to me as a resource.
Before I bought this item, my chameleons would only consume food from my hand. The chameleons can see the worms and roaches thanks to this product. They enjoy hanging out of the chain and the bowl as well. The best thing I have ever purchased, in all seriousness! 10/10 would advise.
Much hefty than I anticipated. Although it works well, I wish they could make it lighter. I also wished it had holes for water drainage.
For our Jackson Chameleon, it is sturdy and dangles from the top of the cage. He is always prepared to wait and knows where to find food. a really useful feeder. It would be nice if there were a means to stop crickets from flying off.
Because my chameleon won't eat unless the insects can climb up something, I've had problems with other feeders. The only drawback is that it's challenging to clean. I use medium to large-sized bugs, and they have never been able to crawl out of the bowl but can climb up the central section. To truly thoroughly clean, the central portion cannot be removed.
Great results. Some crickets manage to get away, but my vail goes after them.
Because they are hanging from the top of the cage, my chameleon can easily access the roaches in the trees where she likes to hang out. Feeders won't be lost because roaches can't escape or climb off.
I adore the fact that there is less chance of bugs emerging. My chameleon notices the insects and consumes them. I don't have to feed him by hand anymore. great acquisition
