Having seen some of these episodes on TV, I was very pleased to be able to find the entire series in one package. The CGI in these programs is so well done, there are times when you would swear it was live action. The series follows the original novel very closely, unlike the movies, and provides an excellent account of the lives of Johnny Rico and his companions through the war. Definitely a must see for anyone who enjoys good sci-fi.
im a big fan of the Starship Troopers series, both the movies and the Roughneck series. And would recommend it to anyone.
This was an awesome show and I loved it. Don't let the old style graphics fool you; it's exiting and exhilarating and leaves you craving for more.
Its a good movie
This dvd set is an extrapolated expansion on the setting found in both the book and the movies, masterfully mixed togther to provide a storyline that is fufulling and exciting without decening into the simplisitic or surreal. The computer based animation is really surprising in it's depth and realism, providing a graphical presentation that is easily the equal of anime, and conveys the feeling of the starship troopers universe very well. Much like the movie Starship Troopers the animated series deals with the adventures of Ric, Carmen, and Diz as they battle the arachnid threat against humanity. However unlike the movie, the plot depth is deeply expanded, and the characters provided with much more depth, and the universe expanded to include far more planets and threats than just the arachnids. The only small complaint I would have is the "bonus episodes" are nothing more than recaps of everything else that has happened in the series so are not really worth watching. All in all I'd reccommend this to any sci fi or starship troopers fan, you won't be disappointed.
