My Sheltie's love the Nutro Max puppy food and the peanut butter treats!
My puggle pup has had a sensitive stomach since I got him and I struggled to find something that would work. The vet had me try Fortiflora which helped but I wasn't willing to accept that that would be the only thing to help my dog digest properly. The vet even said if it didn't work he could have a condition where he could be missing an enzyme that would allow him to digest, which would require daily shots for the rest of his life. I couldn't accept that. I tried dried cranberry and pet kelp which definitely helped but I finally tried this food and it's been a miracle. He is a puggle so he will literally eat anything I give him so I knew the transition to a new food wouldn't be a problem for him but I was just so pleased to see him finally having a firm stool and his fur is so silky. I don't think I'll ever go to another dog food brand!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nutro Max Puppy Chicken is made in a USA facility! My little puppy likes the small bites. I like that Nutro uses farm raised chicken. There are no chicken by products, corn, wheat or soy protein. With no artificial flavor, colora or preservatives I feel good about feeding this to her.
I have tried several different puply foods for my 5 month old akita and my 6 month old beagle mix. They are very picky. But they love this puppy food. I can not be more greatful that I finally found a puppy food they they will both eat!
I have tried three other different dry puppy foods and when saw an advertisement in a magazine about Nutro max I said everything I was looking for but mainly the firm stools in the description had me sold. I went to purchase it and to my surprise it wasn't on the shelf I waited for another week checked the store shelves again and saw only two bags of the puppy food remaining. I gave my 5 month old chihuahua a sample and when I returned after his feeding the bowl was empty I could not believe it and he had no stomach upset later on that day either. I thought it was a joke my puppy dislikes eating dry food but I gave him another serving he loves it I no longer supplement his diet with large amounts of wet food to keep his weight up. Thanks you very much your product is worth the money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Adopted my dog from a kill shelter in Arkansas in September '09. Fed him chicken and rice. He could not even walk up a set of stairs. Had never been out of a crate. Did some research. He adjusted to this very quickly. Adopting a dog from a kill shelter presents many problems..he will turn 2 in May! We have now switched to "Big Dog" food. The transition was great....My vet is amazed at how healthy and active he is!

Plus our little guy loves the flavor and is really excited to eat it which makes me feel even better about giving it to him Another thing thats important to me is that it doesnt contain any animal by products or corn. i trust Nutro products, have used them for years with our dogs and i really like this puppy food a lot!
I have had dogs all of my life and I am 55 years old. I have even owned up to 7 dogs at one time and I wish I had this dog food to feed my puppies when they were all growing up. The dog I have now loves this food, has beautiful shiny teeth and a gorgeous shiny coat. He is happy and healthy and I attribute it all to the wonderful food he eats. He is now 1 and I have decided to keep him on the puppy food for another year because of the quality of the food and his being a large dog.
This is by far the best food I have fed my dogs. I have a Blood Hound that weighs 130 lbs and is only one year old. Before I put him on Max his stools were huge and he would vomit frequently. His stools are much smaller and he never vomits. His coat is shiny black and he is growing at a good rate. His hunger is satisfied and he is not always looking for more food.
I commend you Makers of Nutromax! My mastiff puppy loves to eat your food. It didn't give any problem at all. I also noticed that his coat became shiny. Check out the proof in my attached photo. Please do not change anything!!! You already started changing your packaging so I hope everything is still the same.
