Though I was concerned at this low price...I was MORE than satisfied after arrival. For these reasons: 1) Made in USA 2) High quality parts 3) Clear instructions 4) Beautiful when assembled 5) Very spacious I am using it for extra storage rather than computers but it is VERY nice and roomy. These do it yourself kits usually leave much to be desired...but this one is a dream. It looks MUCH more expensive than it costs and though not a fine piece of furniture it is very stylish and easy to assemble. I love it and am considering buying a second. To milk more room out of it I am filling it with Space Bags and boy does it hold ALOT of stuff.
Not a bad product for the money. Definately chips way too easy. But overall for the price not a bad product.
Ordered site-to-store. Based on comments of broken and missing items, I chose to open in the store before I took delivery. All parts were accounted for and no broken boards. Unit took me 2 hours to put together with help from my 8 and 10 year old. I was expecting some problems and ran into one. The right keyboard shelf runner was incorrect. The style was different from the left which meant one of the two drilled holes in the board did not line up. Easy fix. Drilled small pilot hole myself for the second screw. Luckily the runner was the right length and the keyboard shelf worked perfectly. Seems with these units you never know what to expect. The unit pieces all fit together nicely and the unit looks and functions very well. Door handles and door catches are plastic, not too sure how long they will last. I am very satisfied with the end results.
After a problem with the first armoire getting damaged in transit, my replacement arrived very quickly. The unit went together fairly easy, taking my husband and me approximately 1 hour. The only problem we had was trying to get the doors adjusted properly. The overall appearance is just what I was looking for. This is a nice armoire for the money.
I was satisfied with it's function, features but very unsatisfied with the packaging and shipping. When I opened the box three parts were damaged. I was too difficult to put it all back together to return it to the store since it's too heavy for me to load it to the car. I feel as if I purchased a used product for the price of new. I've attached the pictures of the damage. (top left rear side and right side door bottom) Some damage also on top left door. I would recommend the product only but not if it needs to be shipped to the store or home.
I knew when purchasing this it was not top of the line but I thought it would be easier to put together and look a little nicer when done. Some of the pieces didn't seem to fit together really nice during the assembly process, my dad helped me put it together and he is very handy luckily for me or I would probably still be trying to figure out how it goes and it probably wouldn't look good. The overall appearance of the final product is nothing special. I can't say I was expecting high quality furniture but it looks nicer in the picture than real life in my opinion. I think I paid about $80 for it but I'm not sure that it's worth that much. It seems pretty sturdy, there is a wall mount included to keep it from tipping forward as a safety measure. In general, I would say it's ok for a starter piece but I will probably upgrade within the next couple of years.
In photos in the product looks nice. Once i received the item , you could see the poor quality it was made with. I still put it together because it would to much of a hassle to return. Some boards were missing chunks of the color (i filled in with a black marker) but the hinges were bent , so i couldnt attach the doors properly and the handles were missing from the box. Online you can order replacement parts pretty easily. I received the handles but im still waiting on the hinges. all in all it is a nice piece of furniture but if it will be out were people could see it you may want something more expensive. mine is away in bedroom so its fine.
I enjoyed putting together furniture and even though this was simple to assemble the end result was disappointing. The piece where my keyboard lays upon has these raised notches where it cuts into my wrist from the doors pressing against it. The black finish along the bottom, sides, and doors has scratches and I need black acrylic paint to cover them up. It looks good from a far, however if you examine it closely it looks like a cheap piece of furniture. Funny thing is this is my first time using my armoire while I complete this survey. Overall: not happy with my computer armoire and I might just have to give this away and buy a more expensive one.
I ordered this desk over a month ago. The wood came scratched - which can be filled in with a magic marker. All the hardware is missing. The company did send that. However the keyboard rails and handles are not included in the hardware bag - so now I am waiting for that. The support board is also missing and they are supposed to sending that. Because of the size of the desk - I had it sent to my house so there is no way for me to get it back to the store and get another one. WHAT A NIGHTMARE
This desk arrived with scratches & a broken handles. It's not sturdy or stable at all. If I could do it again I would save my money & and invest in a piece of furniture that was sturdy to withstand everyday use. Made of all particle board which is soft & very easily broken. Looks very cheap & flimsy.
