I love how I can utilized the front display for most popular apps and it is the biggest outer screen out there. Fot the selfie photo or video, it is much easier to see if you are within the frame or not. You can also use the big inner display as dual screen and when it fold it will fit in any pockets. Battery life on this of normal use was pretty good. You can flip the phone for taking photos and videos for selfie or groupies. The only downside is that it is not dust and waterproof, only water resistant rating.
I watched this product line since it's inception and finally pulled the trigger a few weeks ago for the 2023 Razr Plus. It does everything they claim and more. The real test was the jeans back pocket which is where it lives on myself. It's barely noticeable. Just face the screen inward to avoid stuff like seat belt buckles, etc., when sitting. I opted for the blue color. Really looks nice and manly. Crease is barely noticeable and hinge folds very nice. Most apps can transition seamlessly to outer screen. I do it all the time with stock market apps, as well as live streaming MLB TV. You can answer calls when folded, or any way you wish to adjust settings. This phone is a total buy especially on sale. My wife really likes it too, and she is a longtime Samsung Galaxy user, but will soon convert. See 5 photos included.
This is my first foldable, it's a huge improvement in my overall phone experience. For its size, it takes great pictures and video, image stabilizing is good. Build quality is solid, though I do wish the hinge wasn't quite as stiff when first opening to full screen, as I need to use both hands so I won't risk dropping it. So many more unique features also work great and too numerous to list here. Overall, I'm very happy with my RAZR plus!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. Set up was a snap and transfer from my previous phone went without a hitch. The Razr+ is very responsive, has some pretty cool new features (split screen apps, ability to hold phone like a camcorder, etc.) Battery performance has been great, I'm not on the phone 24/7 so the battery can last 4+ days. Wireless charging is convenient and relatively fast. Was pleasantly surprised to find that a screen protector comes pre-installed on the interior screen.
I love the design, the vegan leather back feels great on the hands and looks upscale, love the red color and the large cover screen that you can do so many tasks on without flipping it open! I really like the spring loaded hinge. All of those you don't get with other flip phones. This phone is unique and an eye turner! The only downside is , I wish Motorola would improve the cameras and low light performance when taking pictures and let the phone make a sound when you flip it open and close it, it really needs that feature!
I ordered and came in the next next day. And was excited to use and navigate it. 4 years ago before I came to Hawaii, I used to be an android user so I don't have much issue with the OS. So technically I am after only with the features and the flip style only. However, it took me a year to decide to by this phone, maybe because I am waiting for a bad review about it and basically mostly the reason was mishandling. Years ago, I am a fan of Motorola, because of the "Hello Moto" ringtone. Razr V3i was my last phone and it lasted when the flex strips broke. And now, finally I have a new moto flip and I am looking forward to have great memories with this phone
I love the dual sim capability with one being e-sim that do not occupy space and the other one is a physical sim. I can finally use both when Im travelling! It is very portable and I could not wish for anything else from this phone! I love it so much. I only wish It will last a long time.
I bought this phone because I needed an upgrade and I didn't want an Apple or Samsung phone. The phone doesn't even have an independent photo gallery or a music app. There's no other way to add storage without having a drive account. I can't even control the volume on the device control, I have to keep pressing the volume buttons. The camera is alright, the volume is low at full volume and the battery keeps draining slowly when it's not being used. I paid so much for it to be a “Alright” phone. I feel like there's more but I just can't think. In general I do like the phone but it needs improvements.
Unfortunately, even with being gentle, the hinge-to-screen attachment point must have broken behind the screen after a couple weeks, because first the top half of the screen stopped accepting touches, then a de-pixelated black bar appeared in the middle of the screen, then a colored vertical line (a few pixels wide) appeared on the top half of the screen on the left side, and finally the bottom half of the screen (the part that accepted touches) started flashing brighter and darker randomly. This made the phone unusable on the main screen. Luckily, I can operate any app on the outer screen with no problem until the replacement unit arrives. Don't buy just the phone, buy the protection plan, that covers 3 qualifying replacements. I hope my next 1-3 Razr+ phones (if I need to replace that many times) last over the next couple years before I buy a new phone! If you never have issues like this, this will be the perfect phone, and I still think that despite these issues!
I decided to pre order the new Razr 2023 thinking it had done a better job since the last one came out 2019. After waiting for another week for it to arrive since I ordered the flaming red, I thought wow this is awesome. Coming from Samsung Flip 3 5G, i was hoping battery life, camera and overall functions of the phone would blow me away. Nope the phone would get hot, would reboot several times a day as well as take pics in the holster as I am walking. Each time I would open the phone, the hinge started to make noise and knew that was a known issue in the 2019 model. Then the lower volume button would get stuck. I contacted Motorola and pleaded with them to take the phone back as this is not acceptable and cannot entertain a phone operating like this. Motorola still needs to iron out the kinks before praising it as the "next best thing".
