This! This is what you want to repair your extension cord that melted because of loose contacts. This quality cord cap has a tight contact and this si actually the third one I purchased. This is a better price and shipping than other place or anywhere else I found to purchase this. This is a 20 AMP connector and I believe the 15Amp connector is not as good as this one. It will work well on any gauge extension cord but keep in mind that it is the cord that carries the current so your cord is what rates the capacity of the cord (amperage) Good, Quality, WellMade, Strong, Reliable are all words to describe this product.
