Being from the south you always need a great gumbo pot and this is it. The regular cast iron pots I have make the okra look dark and we don't like that. Beautifully made and easy to clean.. I bought it in two sizes and I love them both.. You can't go wrong with Tramontina pots and dutch ovens. I could have bought it in the store but it cost less online at Walmart.com.. Love it!!
I've only had a chance to use it once, for a pot roast, but it cooked it perfect. And the clean up was quick. Looking forward to using it for more dishes.
Have used several times now and is every bit as good as my larger LC dutch oven so far. Perfect for our smaller meals now that the kids have left home.

I looked online for three days for a cast iron dutch oven with an enamel coating. I finally found this one on walmart.com after looking at both the Tramontina and Amazon websites. It arrived within a few days and exceeded my expectations. The blue coating is really bright and shiny, and the entire dutch oven feels solid and heavy. It is very easy to clean and a great addition to any kitchen.

I have already cooked stew in this pot. It cooked very fast and was delicious. I look forward to many years of great soup.
I've had my red Dutch oven for about 2 years now and still love it. It's used frequently and it's no longer pristine. It still works great but there is now brown stains on the bottom that tend to cause is sticking issue but not a huge one.. There are chips here and there which I oil along with the rim, again not a problem for functionality. Our family may have caused some of said issues. None of this would cause me to stop using it. I only wish it was bigger and I had 2. I'm going to get a Lodge brand next in the larger size and update differences and similarities. I'm pretty confident that I will love it and will be using both at the same time.
Loved the color, but there were two nicks on the lid and inside the pot. Had to return. Will repurchase when red is available.
I got this as a present and was so excited to start using it. Each time I have, if I brown anything it stains the bottom. I also have been careful to season it and wash it properly but maybe the steam from when I cook soup or something has caused it to start rusting around the rim! The enamel is definitely scant in some spots on the inside of the pot. Next time I'll be going with a better brand.
