I ordered this to serve as a heat lamp for my parakeets during the Winter months in Florida. It was an in-store pick-up which went very quickly. I did have a difficult time assembling it but it was only because I've never done anything like this before. The neighbor helped and the birds are happy not freezing at night.
It kept my water from freezing.
Good sturdy neck and clamp with easy manipulation for the perfect angle. Cord is a good length too. Very happy.
It's crafted from very lightweight material with a small box making a dent in it, but since it's being used for automotive purposes that was no big deal. The clamp is strong, staying in place as needed and really reflective and bright with the right wattage bulbs.
i needed a light for a closet and this light was great-just wish the cord had been longer....i had to use an extention cord to reach the outlet.
The clamp is made out of very light weight material. It is not anywhere close to heavy duty. I looked for clamp lights at my local garden stores but unfortunately they did not carry them so to Walmart I went. It works but could easily be bent or damaged. Also on both of the ones I bought the light comes out of the socket at an angle to the hood. One is much worse than the other and I will probably return the worse one and live with the other one. I have no preconceived notion of what clamp lights should cost so I don't know if this is a good value. I would definitely never use it in a work shop or outdoors or anywhere where people or objects might bump into it because it would not hold up. As a light clamp for indoor house plants probably ok.
