The Tall Cocotte: New Shape, Same Exceptional Cast Iron Qualities The 5-quart Tall Cocotte is a taller version of the classic 4-quart cocotte, making it the ideal tool for cooking larger quantities, without taking up valuable stovetop space. The additional height is especially useful in cooking bone-in meat cuts like crown roasts as well as layered dishes like tians, or dishes that rise, such as soufflé. Plus, the added height reduces the risk of liquids boiling over and reduces splatter when deep-frying or searing. Like all STAUB cocottes, the Tall Cocotte is unsurpassed for slow-cooking meats and vegetables to tender perfection, and for simmering hearty stews and soups. Cast iron possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so the pot heats evenly throughout. With a heavy weight, tight-fitting lid that retains moisture and tiny spikes on the lid interior that create a rain-forest effect evenly returning juices back onto food, you can expect moist, perfectly cooked food every time you use this pan. Rooted in French culinary heritage, STAUB cookware is beloved by professional and home chefs for its exquisite craftsmanship, exceptional performance, and timeless beauty. Each STAUB cocotte effortlessly and elegantly transitions from the oven to the table - you can cook and serve in the same dish. These heirloom pieces can be lovingly passed from generation to generation.

Unparalleled! The color is delicious, food cooks perfectly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cookware looks like a piece of art. I am tempted to not cook in it and leave it on my stove top for a decoration. Obviously high craftsmanship was put into creating this piece. Coating is flawless and the exterior finish is superb.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure I was going to love the tall cocotte as much as a wider cocotte option, but I do! This cocotte looks great sitting out in the kitchen and is perfect for soups, stews, braising, frying, and baking bread. It's a great size, not too big, not too small, just right. I'm so happy it's in my kitchen!
I love this pot. I made Beef Soup today, and it was soo good. It's the best slow-cooker in the market. I can't wait to plan my next meal and use this cocotte. Thanks Staub!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rusty style of color graphite is truly a beauty. And the extra 1 inch tall gives more room for large bones stew. Performance is excellent as Staub always be. Maintenance is easy as it always be. A hearty gift for all cooking lovers.
Beautiful pot just made the best, richest chili for the family. It is beautiful and cleaned up with ease. I am thrilled to have this in my kitchen.
Perfect size for simple meals soup, etc
Very high quality. I have used it three times to make my homemade sour dough bread. It's perfect.
Love love love! Great size for all!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the most incredible and multipurpose thing that anyone could ever have in their kitchen. It's perfect for roasting, making soups, sautéing vegetables, you could even make a sandwich in it… You can literally cook ANYTHING in it!!! Super incredibly quality, beautiful color, long-lasting, and versatile. Also surprisingly easy to clean - not fussy like tradition cast iron dutch ovens. This was my first Staub piece in my kitchen, and my collection has only grown from there!!
