Super comfortable and very lightweight. These are the shoes I reach for at the end of the day.
These are such comfortable shoes!! I had a pink pair years ago that I wore for MANY years. I took these out of the box, put them on, and wore them all- comfortably. They feel more like slippers but have better support. I just love them!
I wear these every day. Shopping, church, around the house - everywhere. They are absolutely the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Carried them to Switzerland and France and will be wearing them to Maine this month as we celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary by going to the New England states. Can't say enough about these shoes.
I like these shoes very much and wear them every day. They are light, breathable, and very comfortable to walk in because they fit like a sucker on my feet.
These shoes are simple and good looking. I ordered black, and they actually are elegant! They are also very comfortable. Sizing is just right.
This Encore Breeze 4 was OK and if I had not also ordered Encore Breeze 5, would probably have kept them. But the #4 was stub toed, making the foot look wider and shorter. Also, the back of the slide kept slipping off my foot as I tried out around my house. Glad I had the option of keeping the #5 instead of these. Wish Merrell would stop making changes to this standard and, mostly, dependable shoe. Some years the fit is great, other years (styles) the same size is too big or the look is too stubby. The fabric of the upper also keeps changing. Merrell needs to stop messing with a goo think.
I absolutely love all of my Merrells but for some reason this pair developed a squeak in both shoes. I've had them for a couple of years. I had to stop wearing them because everyone could hear it. I wish they would bring back the fun colors like orange and magenta.
I would have given the Encore Breeze 4 a 4 star. However, they emit a chemical odor. I also have to use orthotics insoles. Replacing the original insole with mine caused a "sqeaking" noise with every step. Between the chemical odor and the sqeaky noise I was very frustrated. They are comfortable and I like the color. I tried different things to stop the squeak and odor. Finally finding by adding a nylon knee high stocking over the insole stopped the squeak and contained the odor.
I have been wearing Encore Breeze for 15+ years and buy a new pair every year - not because they wear out but I wear them so much they get dingy/dirty looking. It's the shoe I go to 90% of the time for everything and up until this year I have loved these shoes. This year the material changed and it's not sturdy. I wear these without socks and do lots of walking of dogs and I have worn a hole in the top side material in 6 months. Also the material "collapses" so it's wrinkled looking. I have attached a picture (and I keep my toe nails trimmed and short!). Really bummed that this shoe has changed, it was my staple and I loved this shoe. But due to this material change I won't buy it again.
This shoe shown in ALL of the photos looks WHITE. It's called Birch -- as in "White Birch Tree". Therefore I ordered it EXPECTING White. No. It is a light beige (or khaki?), definitely not as photographed. Merrell should have indicated -- This shoe is NOT White. Very disappointed.
