These are very light weight and durable. I hiked through a creek bed with these and they gripped the wet rock surface like glue. I was very pleasantly surprised.
I purchased my shoes online thinking that I might have to send them back. I received them on a Friday, tried them on and they fit very well. I needed a comfortable pair of shoes to wear to a four day event that required walking around 20,000 steps a day. I have attended this event several times and always ended up with blisters and sore feet. The Merriell's were so comfortable and kept my feet from getting blisters and no more sore feet. Far exceeded my expectations!
Merrill's are my favorite shoes by far. They look great and, because most of them come in wide width, are very comfortable (size 14 wide is hard to find). I just wish the laces would be 2 inches longer. The shoe itself is very sturdy and very well made. Just like the Merrill's I bought before, these will last me a very long time.
Great shoes, I really appreciate the fact I can order in wide. I have put many miles on these shoes , both trail and street and they barely show any use. The only drawback I've found with Merrill shoes is that the shoelace outer sheath tends to come apart after about two years of use. They are still useable but I usually just replace them.
The Yokota wide are very comfortable and a great looking shoe. I wore them up on Maine anc around NH
These shoes were great and I hate Merrell has, at least for the time being, discontinued this series. I have and have continued to have foot issues as I've grown older and these were comfortable right out box. I'm very picky now regarding shoes and these were my go-to.
I need a wide shoe and this shoe fits perfectly and is quite comfortable. I was looking for a shoe that had more cover over the top of the toe area and the Yokota 2 has it. However, I would like to see the Merrell folks cover the entire top over the toe area of the Moab Ventilator and keep it wide. That would be an awesome hiking shoe.
Wide width has made me a fan of Merrell once again. Tread is aggressive enough that I tend to wear these mostly for “trail” environment. Good in snow moderate snow as well.
These are well constructed shoes. They are not as wide as I would like, but they will do. I read somewhere before that Merrell shoes run narrower than competitor brands.
Nowhere near as comfortable as any other merrell's I have owned previously
