I'm very happy with this purchase. The armoire is beautiful and sized perfectly if you need something for a smaller space. The color is gorgeous and the quality is very good, particularly for the low price! I was very pleasantly surprised. Assembly was easy and I feel confident it won't fall apart like some other pieces of furniture I've gotten in the past. I opted not to install the shelves, instead I bought a couple of 3M removable hooks and affixed to the sides so we can hang up light jackets inside.
I wanted something to place my tank tops, shorts and other smaller things in. This was perfect. Just the right size. Took me about an hour to put together and I was missing a screw out of one of the door henges. Called the manufacturer and that ship a while henge very quickly. I am going to get one for my daughters room as well!
A friend I Assembled this unit in a few hours and I will do it again!

A complicated assembly, but the direction were great and was not difficult taken one step at a time . Good storage. Looks nice.
I was really excited to get my Armoire and set it up. The item came in one box which very heavy for one person to handle. I had to slide it through my house to get to bedroom. Luckily, I have hardwood floors. I first had to take all the pieces and lay them out so I can understand which were which and have easy access to them. There is a lot of screws for this piece. But if you lay them out, it helps to be able to grab the right ones at the right time. The took my time putting it together because I didn't want any mistakes. the directions are not the best but a little common sense goes a long way. The only complaint I have is several of the pieces had scratches and a dent due to I am assuming the carrier tossing it around prior to deliver. I was disappointed my front doors have several scratches on it which takes away from the look and the fact it is brand new. I will have to find a furniture pen to cover this. Also, I did have to adjust the bottom drawer but the instructions tell you how to do so, it's just a matter of moving a pin on the slider. My doors did not need adjusting. Otherwise it is a very nice piece. I did see some post in reference to the sturdiness of the unit. this is not top of the line wood, otherwise you would have paid double or tripe the prices, it doesn't shake as some has describe it but it will tilt a little depending on your leveling of your floor. The instructions do tell you to mount it to the wall and it provides a hardware for that. I did not mount my piece because like I said it is not tilting that much. I think after you start putting items in it, makes it more steady as well. so if you are looking a decent piece of furniture prior to paying for a more expensive piece this is ideal. I am getting the matching tv stand and night stands because I like the look an it does look cheap.
The armoire arrived in one heavy box at Walmart. There was a little damage on one of the shelves, but because it was on an inner shelf, I let it go. The door hinge pre-drilled holes were not aligned correctly. I actually had to re-drill a hole in order for the door to hang evenly with the other door. The spring loaded hinges were a bit tricky to secure. One of the drawer tracks pre-driled holes were also mis-aligned so I had to re-drill. After much adjustment, the unit looks good, the price was decent, but the time spent correcting errors was a big hassel. Be prepared to re-drill some holes.
I have purchased furniture items that require assembly most of my life due to the price point. So I am not new to this concept. Sauder is a leader in assembly furniture items and the instructions for this item was clear and more concise than any other I have seen. I followed the instructions from page one to the end. When I got to the step of nailing the back on, even assembling the unit on the floor as recommended, the back piece is not large enough to nail into the frame at an even point to avoid being to close to the edges and splitting the board. Also the top piece did not sit flush into the locks and on the frame and I had to glue it so that it would stay in place. Once I got to the step of installing the shelves, the drawer and the doors I found that it was not square and the shelves would not align to the back far enough for the doors to be installed correctly, and the drawer sliding assembly would not stay engaged and the drawer did not fit. With the back nailed in, the frame was "toe'd in" towards the back and not square enough for the shelves, drawer and doors to fit properly. With out the back on the frame the unit was totally unstable so you could not put that process after installing the shelves and drawer. I ended up throwing out the drawer and the doors and use it as a shelving unit instead of the armoire. The shelves were not finished on the bottom side and I think should be because they can be visible. I also order online heavy items because at 64 I cannot carry that much weight anymore. I had to unpack the box from outside where it was left at delivery and carry each piece inside for assembly. So repacking and returning it was out of the question....not to mention the packing material was not in the original condition. I am OK with it being a shelving unit and it is a good looking unit even tho I had wanted the armoire to enclose items. If you price it for a shelving unit then the price may be high... however the style is much better than the typical square box look. I really don't know if I would recommend it. I am a woman who is handy with tools and worked as a carpenters assistant for many years. The material of the top, legs, sides and doors were sturdy and well finished. The color is rich and true.
I put it together per instructions but one door is lower than the other. I followed instructions to the letter. If you do buy it I recommend having another person there to help hold the doors for when you install them. It's hard one-handed.
This item fell apart while putting it together. When it collapsed it was unusable. We've had many pieces of furniture and this is by far the worst piece we have ever seen. We ended up just nailing it together to hold it up knowing we will trash it very soon. We had to carry the pieces up to a third floor apt and didn't want to mess with it anymore. I will never buy this brand or anything that needs to be put together from Walmart again.
