Easy fix for a broken hot water tank.

If your hot water tank starts out hot but the water gets cold a lot faster then it did, this could be the problem, and with a gas hot water tank it probably is. Simple to install. Just turn off the tank, turn off the water, and open a couple of faucets to bleed off pressure. Unscrew the old tube with a pipe wrench, wrap the new one's threads with Teflon tape and screw it in. Turn the water back on and check for leaks. No leaks, turn the tank back on and you are good to go.
