GREAT 4X4 SHORT CORSE TRUCK I IN-JOY MINE A HECK OF A LOT & IT'S VERY FAST UP THE PINION GEAR TO A BIGGER ONE NOT AS MUCH TORK BUT IS SCREEM'S NO JOKE KEEP YOUR EYES ON IT AT ALL TIMES JUST ONE SEC. & POW YOU RAN IN TO SOMETHING BAD BUT IT IS VERY TUFF HANDS DOWN FOR INSTANCE LET MY BROTHER DRIVE IT "STUPID ME" FULL BLAST & WENT UNDER MY CAR WAS STUCK SO BADLY HAD TO JACK MY CAR UP TO GET MY RC TRUCK OUT & NO DAMAGE AT ALL I WAS AMAZED JUST ABOUT KICKED HIS "A"
It seems that some pieces are engineered to break when you crash, other than that the truck is excellent . GPS reads 47.3 MPH on a 3s lipo.

bought this losi ten scte rtr and ran it at my local track several times and had nothing but problems with the transmitter and receiver. truck is fun when your running by yourself but once your elbow to elbow with the local track guys it glitches bad when it comes to power on, it would cut out on full speed then back on, so ruled out the radio and receiver has some issues so I upgraded to the airtronics mt-4 and no more glitching issue. I think losi fell short of there electronics when it comes to transmitting and I do agree with last review servo is weak, but over all awesome truck and tons of fun on the track!
I picked this up at my LHS a few months ago so pretty familiar with it now. I'm not a racer, but it is very fast and I am impressed with the handling. From day one I had problems with glitching and limited radio range. Tried the glitch buster capacitor but no help. Since I already have a Traxxas TQi radio I put a Traxxas receiver in this car and problem solved (and telemetry-enabled#. Now running it with Proline trenchers on Proline Renegade wheels #had to shave the inside ribs on the fronts# and it really gives the car a scale look and handles grass and terrain much better. Can't recall breaking anything so far but a couple of runs on 3S (stupid fast) resulted in some big-time rollovers which cracked up the body on the rear corners. My poor Summit sits on the shelf now, waiting for Mamba Monster 2 upgrade to make it interesting again as it is just boring after driving the SCTE.
I've been running this truck in an Open 4WD SCT class at Phil Hurd Raceway in Savannah, GA for a few months now and am able to be very competetive. The suspension works great on our track which has alot of jumps, smooth sections, and bumpy sections. I'm still sticking with the stock motor system which I have no complaints about. I've added the TLR tuning kit to add durability, rebuilt diffs. with diff. fluid, and run AKA City Block SS tires. Would have given 5 stars across the board, but the included steering servo was a bit weak, upgraded to a hitech HS-985MG. My main complaint is the glitching problem I had with the radio system. When I would punch throttle before a jump, it would cut out then back on, causing me to yard dart the landing ramp. Soldering the motor wires seemed to help for a few minutes, but the problem returned. I've heard running a capacitor on the receiver has helped some people. I had a Traxxas 2.4GHz radio so I installed the Traxxas radio equipment and never had anymore issues. Now running Futaba 4PL with still no issues. The truck is awsome!! RTR radio setup and servo are lacking.
