I tried this on the grease leftover from Thanksgiving. It worked surprisingly well. The directions are easy to follow, easy to use, and makes clean-up a breeze. I think I did not use enough after Thanksgiving, but it did solidify the particles on top. Next time I will do a better job estimating how much grease was in the pan. No unpleasant odor either.
I am sure this Blackstone grease solidifier will work fine. I have not used it yet, but will this summer. It will do what it is supposed to do, making it easier to discard the grease. With the solidifier, the chances of grease spilling all over is greatly reduced.
This product works great. After using my Blackstone grill and cleaning all the grease into the bin for the holding all the drippings, it was always a challenge on how to dispose of the grease. With this product it is solidified and you can then dispose of it in your garbage bin. Works great.
I've only had the opportunity to use this once, but it was when tailgating and it worked beautifully. A little goes a long way. We sprinkled some in as soon as we had scraped all the grease off the griddle surface and before we were done wiping it down, the grease was mostly solid. When it was time to go, we safely and without mess disposed of it in a public receptical. Will buy again.
The Blackstone grease solidifier is something I was looking for to help me with the cleanup of my Blackstone griddle. One thing you will notice when you use your grill is that there will be an excess of grease or fat that builds up on the grill top. Blackstones have a wonderful grease trap where you can push all the grease into a container that is located on the back of the grill. The issue that I always ran into was what to do with the grease when I was done cooking. Usually, I would wait a day or two for it to solidify, but found that if it rains or if someone hit the back of the grill, the grease would spill everywhere. Using the Blackstone gray solidifier pellets is easy! All you have to do is put one or two scoops into the cup of grease and stir it around for a few seconds then you just wait for the grease to cool. The grease clumps up and can be easily disposed into your trash. This also helps you properly dispose of cool grease according to local laws and regulations. Overall, this is a great product to help you with your daily cleaning of your Blackstone grill. it makes cleanup, super easy and efficient.
It works but it's hard to figure out the right amount to put in so that you have enough to make it goopy but not to much to where you waste it and make it rock hard. It's works and make sure oil is hot, I pour the oil/grease into a bowl and then put the powder in
It works. I poured a scoop into the hot grease and it took around 10 minutes to solidify for easier disposal. I have used it for solidifying grease from my smokeless indoor grill and for our outdoor grill. I have had a few spills from trying to toss grease in liquid form so this has helped me avoid that.
I was disappointed to see this was for hot grease only. I am sure it will work for those who need it for this kind of job. It is well packaged and looks like it would do the job it was designed to do. I know it will because Walmart would not handle it if not.
I tried Blackstone Grease Solidifier this week when i cooked hamburger meat and some bacon. i put the stuff in while the grease was hot, gave it a stir and left it to cool. It did solidify, but then, hamburger grease always dies a bit. This stuff may be good for getting rid of a big pan of chip oil. I will try it on that next. The package doesn't hold that much, so save it for cooking oil, and don't waste your time and money by putting it in grease that congeals. But make sure the oil is HOT, or it won't work, i guess.
This grease solidifier didn't work great for me. I followed the instructions and it does solidify grease, but it was messy to clean up stll for me. I'd rather let the oils cool and dispose of it in an old can or wrapped in paper. This wasn't a winner in my experience.
