I thought for $20.00 that it would be a fair blanket, when I took it out of the package, I thought WOW, got what I paid for. But, it really is a great little down alternative blanket. I have paid far more for these blankets in the past from big brand stores and they looked pretty much the same. The blanket is very warm and feels good to touch. If I only get a few months out of it and it doesn't wash well it is still a wonderful investment. I would just buy another one. Thanks for the value!
I was looking at a very similar item at a large home accessory store and it would have cost about 4x as much. This is just what I wanted, at the perfect price, plus it's machine washable!
Little thin, but soft and rich looking.
Light weight, but still warm enough at night.
I wanted this as a blanket for use on a bed with a down comforter in a duvet. Because the down is so often too hot for guests, I folded the duvet and left this showing on the bed with an all white theme using hotel luxury linens. It is a wow. Looks much, much more expensive. Provides a light cover for spring or summer sleeping and an additional layer with the down for winter. My son and daughter in law visited last weekend and slept in the room and loved it. The next morning he asked me if the blanket on the bed was silk! Such a steal! Just a note, it is true to size, but I bought a king for a queen bed, turned it sideways to allow more tucking room and it hits just at the bed rails on the side of the queen.
I really liked the way this blanket looked and felt for the first couple of nights. It looked and felt like a comforter but was light like a quilt. After about a week, I started seeing little white balls of fibers on the underside of the comforter. The filling was spontaneously coming out of the bottom of the blanket. I am hoping it was just a fluke and am going to be trying again.
I was really disappointed when I received this blanket. In the picture on-line it is a nice medium blue color. In reality it is a steel-gray color with just a touch of blue. I will be returning this item. Had it been the color I wanted though, it seemed a good value for the money.
I purchased this blanket and as soon as I got it home I noticed that some of the stitching was missing and the satin edging was not attached in multiple places. I figured I could stitch it up myself, no biggie. I decided to wash it before using it. When I took it out of the dryer it was completely covered in polyester fuzzballs. The filling seeps through the cover and there is no way to completely remove it. It looked terrible. I packed it up and took it back to the store. I was very disappointed. I loved the feel and look of this blanket until I washed it.
