I love the heft and overall beauty of the product. However, I was expecting solid-black marble (as pictured on your site), and what I got has white veins in it. Still, my husband loved the gift, and it holds three Audubon field guides nicely.
These bookends are a beautiful complement to my music room, keeping binders upright and orderly, while matching the finish of my grand piano and other furnishings.

The bookends themselves were beautiful marble, heavy and very substantial and would be appropriate to use in any setting. They would be a good selection for any home or office. A gift for my husband. He wanted some bookends that were heavy enough to control his books and that matched the marble on his fireplace. These did exactly that. Only problem was that they came in a box with your name on it and were HEAVY!! Kind of hard to disguise!!! He loves them!
I bought the bookend for my wife for christmas, so we could display our cookbooks. They look great in our house. The whole experience was easy. I found what I wanted, and recieved my selection in plenty of time for christmas. Everything was simple and easy.
I was looking for bookends for a graduation gift and these were the only ones I found that were what I had in mind. Very heavy, nice design, fast shipment, good price. My only negative is that I wish it had cork or fabric or something on the bottom to make it non-slip. To use as a book end, I think it should have had that on the bottom to prevent slipping. All in all, though, I was pleased with my purchase.
I am using the product as gift idea for doctors graduating into their specialized field of medicine. I plan to have a small plate engraved and added to the botton of one of them to personalize it.
Excellent! Just what I have been looking for to hold my tech books and manuals that I am presently working with. They have just the right heft to hold up the books.
These bookends are beautiful and I think would suit a variety of styles of decor. I gave them to my father-in-law for his newly renovated home office, and they look fantastic. They are a bit on the smaller side, smaller than I imagined they'd be, but they are so sturdy that they'll seem to be able to hold lots of books.
These are heavy and beautiful, just perfect showing off books on a shelf. However, they aren't perfectly flat so they don't lean up against the books properly. I'm going to keep them because they are so gorgeous, but wish their intended function worked better.
