Picking up 10 years after the 2004-06 series ended, this HBO movie finds former citizens of Deadwood joining it's current residents to mark the impending statehood of South Dakota in 1889. Relationships are renewed and an old conflict is re-ignited as U.S. Marshal Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) and an ailing Al Swearengin (Ian McShane) work together to go up against the nefarious Sen. George Hearst (Gerald McRaney). Molly Parker, Paula Malcolmson, John Hawkes co- star.

Loved the movie for it tied up loose ends of the characters since Paramount didn't want to make Deadwood any more yet the writer has scripts all ready for the forth season.
Great show and a great movie to finish it up. A must see for those who enjoyed deadwood the tv series
Great ending to a multi-season TV show.
Great movie! Was thrilled to see so many from the original cast, amazing after all these years. A must see if you watched the series.
I was always disappointed that there was never a season 4 of deadwood , one of the best tv shows ever , now at least it has an ending.
A continuation of the HBO series of the same name - arguably the best Western-themed television series ever created. This last episode (if I can call it that) brought that original series to a much needed close, and helped ""heal"" the wounds of frustration caused by the abrupt ending of the original series. The acting, again, was superb, by outstanding actors. The story-line was true to the original series. If the reader was not viewed the entire ""Deadwood"" series, I strongly suggest you make an effort to do so BEFORE watching ""Deadwood: The Movie"". It doesn't get any better than this - even if the story doesn't adhere to the original ""facts"" concerning the city of Deadwood.
a fitting end to a fantastic series
An excellent edition to the box set.
I didn't like the ending.
