This is my second pair of these boots. I damn near live in boots. I live on a cattle farm. I am a retired GI so wearing "GI boots" is my go to for footwear. The first pair went 14 months. The only reason I needed new boots is because the right boot outer side blew out from wear on the right brake pedal on my 1952 8N Ford. The left boot has a "scar" from a chainsaw. The soles had decent wear on them. So far this new pair seems tighter than the first pair. The water proof has been fully tested and my feet have been completely dry. Just about every morning I have to go break ice on the pond so the cows have water. With a good wool/blend sock my feet stay warm and dry (and probably the reason the boots fit tight). I am sure the more they are worn (every day) they will get more and more comfortable.
I bought my first pair of these Propper boots 2 years ago, most comfortable boot I've ever owned! I have walked through wet grass and damp areas outdoors and my feet stay dry! I have not submerged or walked through a stream but I'm sure they will remain water resistant within reason. Breath well and my feet don't sweat. I recommend under Armour heat gear socks with these boots in the hot humid weather. I will but again, love that they come with a spare sole
These boots are great. I wear them every day as animal control officer. I get disinfectant on them daily which may have led to them not lasting as long as I hoped, a little over a year. Walking on wet slippery floors was not a.problem. Ordering a new pair now.
This is my second pair of these boots.
Walmart selling military tactical boots was unheard of for me. I needed a new pair of boots so badly that I found myself browsing different websites. I'm a female , size 7.5 in shoes, I bought size 5.5 male. I've been serving in the Army now for 12 years. When it comes to boots, these are by far the best I've had. Not only are they compliant to AR 670-1, but they are extremely light, comfortable and even have memory foam sole. I love my boots so much that I went back and bought a second pair.
Yes, I've had these boots for FIVE YEARS. For the first 3 years I wore them on weekends, hiking, shooting etc. Then I wore them daily for a year doing a construction and driving job. Now on weekends again. They have held up amazingly! These boots are very comfortable and keep sand and dirt out well. You could wear them on the beach all day and not get sand inside. Best of all, YOUR FEET STAY COOL. This is very important for a desert boot. The suede does not wear down and they look almost new even after 5 years. Will buy these again and again.
Don't recall how I found out about this company/boot, but I'm glad I did. most comfortable pair I've owned. Breaking in just fine. If still good in 6-12 months, I'll more than likely order another pair. As of now, highly recommend!
My husband really liked these but they run small. Have to make an exchange now.
Great value, workmanship, and comfort in this entry level boot. Two minor dings though, the laces could be a tad longer as they come out of the first set of speed eyelets every time upon removing the boots, and they would also benefit from a tongue-stay loop to prevent drifting. Otherwise, extremely comfortable for walking, running, and standing for longer periods. Time will tell about durability, but I see no shortcomings at this point.
I bought these boots from a licensed dealer (Mt. View Surplus) and was surprised at the price. Total w/ sales tax came to around $100. Rear pull straps looked flimsy and unusually soft. Sizing ran small (I usually wear a 8.5M with Propper boots) and wore a 7.5M instead. Little to no break in period, and the fast lace system makes tightening the boots very easy. Rear pull straps continued to degrade over time and torn from merely pulling up the boots to put them on, which required me to fix them on my own time by going to a cobbler. Total amount of uses for this boot is 4 times. Product is made in China, which made sense with the quality of the rear pull straps. Hopefully for better worksmanship, I would recommend customers buy the USA-made Propper Series 300 instead. I would not recommend this product for military service.
